Loki opened his eyes as Y/n's hand was wrenched from his and she fell from the sky. With the stones destroyed, he wasn't held in place anymore so he let his magic dissipate and fell after her.

He reached desperately with his magic for her falling form, ignoring the pain that shot through his body from his outstretched hand.

He put all his strength into the magic but he couldn't get it to physically form. He had pushed himself to his limits and he was empty.

Loki put out his hand, focusing only on the green magic that swirled around her body willing it to form.

He barely concealed his scream as something went flying into his outstretched hand. At first he thought it was one of Thanos' monsters that survived to jump on him, but he then realized it was a hammer—Thor's hammer.

He could faintly hear his brother's cheers but he was more concerned about controlling the hammer and getting it to propel him somewhere instead of letting him fall.

"Could you, kindly, speed me to my lady?" Loki asked as if it was sentient. He didn't expect it to work but he would have preferred it did instead of having to learn to steer it.

He held it upwards and swung it. Almost immediately it started to swing on its own and he was floating in the air. He marveled at the fact that he was able to do this, and then aimed it at Y/n and it pulled him down at her, making him fly faster than his magic could ever do.

He caught her just in time and semi-gently lowered them down to the floor, letting the hammer fall to the ground, creating an indent.

"Y/n?" He said softly, holding her unconscious body in his hands.

He didn't pick up his head even when his brother walked over and rested his hand on his shoulder.

"Don't tell me to give up," Loki said.

"You need to-" Thor started to speak but Loki cut him off.

"What I need to do is stay with her until she wakes up," Loki growled, still not looking away.

"Loki, she's gone," Thor said, sitting down next to his brother. "She saved us all."

"I was with her--" Loki's voice cracked, "—it wasn't just supposed to be her."

He stood up, leaving her body on the floor and looked to the sky. "Odin," he called out. "If you ever loved me, please—save her. I will give you any-"

"Loki-" Thor hissed, grabbing his brothers attention. "Look."

Loki looked back to Y/n's body, terrified for a moment something bad happened, when he noticed who stood over her.

"Mother," Thor said softly, but she didn't pick up her head.

She stayed bent over Y/n, hands cradling her head, yellow sparks traveling all over their bodies.

Loki fell to his knees next to Frigga, scared to make a sound and break her concentration. He watched her chant over Y/n's body.

He only noticed that they had drawn a crowd when his mother lifted her head and smiled at them. She turned to him and gave him, what felt like, his own smile.

"Take care of her, my son," she said as she faded away.

Not a moment later, Y/n shot up, gasping for air. His head immediately turned to her and she looked at him in wonder.

"What..." her head looked around at everyone who had gathered around, now cheering. "What happened?"

Loki pulled her against his chest, forgetting all about her ring-free finger, just caring that she was with him.

"You died," Thor said for Loki, who was still speechless.

"I feel very much alive," Y/n joked.

Thor looked to his brother and stood up, giving them space as everyone celebrated.

She turned to Loki, who couldn't help but break out into a smile. "You're okay," he breathed, sounding like he was reminding himself more than her.

"I am," she answered anyway.

"Gods, I have no idea how you survived five years." Loki shook his head in wonder. "You were gone five minutes and I was ready to tear down the universe to get you back."

Y/n didn't respond, only wrapping her arms around him in a hug. Loki rested his chin on her head, almost scared to let her go—that this was just in his imagination.

"I beat people up," Y/n finally said, and Loki pulled her away to raise his eyebrow.

"You what?" He couldn't help but laugh.

"While you were gone, I went from ring to ring, beating people up." She said it so casually, he had to chuckle.

"Did you meet him there?" He asked, remembering their situation and pulling away.

"Who?" Loki picked up her left hand, resting it on his palm. "Loki, what do you mean?"

"Your ring." He sighed. "It's gone."

"My what?" Y/n blinked, then barked a laugh, standing up. Loki looked at her with an incredulous look, wondering how she could be laughing at this.

"I don't-" Loki stood up and tried to speak, but stopped when she pulled out a necklace out from under her suit with his ring on it.

"Would have been a shame to splatter it with blood when I punched someone," Y/n explained.

"So you didn't..." Loki took a step away, his face pink.

"Oh Loki." Y/n pulled the ring off the necklace and put it back on her finger. "You're my soulmate, I couldn't meet anyone else. I love you."

"I love you." Loki smiled, resting his forehead on hers.

A/n:
You didn't really think I would kill her off, now did you? Also it is just my thing that I love showing that Loki is worthy and, after all this, he definitely would be.
Also a last little look at our lovely Queen Frigga because I love her.
