MORNING

"Okay kana, anak?" Tanong saakin ni mommy nang bumaba ako ng hagdan.

I smiled and nodded. Giving her a warm morning hug from behind while she was cooking my favorite champorado. Perfect for the cold breezy weather here in Baguio.

"Nasan nga po pala si ate?" Tanong ko at kumuha na ng mga mangkok at kutsara na ihahain sa mesa.

"Ayun, sleeping beauty ang peg. Pagod rin kasi sa byahe kahapon eh." Sagot ni mommy.

"Eh si Simo--"

"Present! Miss mo agad ako? Hehe. Goodmorning, Janna!" Simon appeared from my back and greeted me with his lovely smile.

I got speechless, leaving Simon a blank expression on my face and just pointing at him. "A-andito kana agad?"

"Well, matigas ang ulo eh." Mom joked.

I changed the topic, "Sya nga pala, gisingin ko na kaya si ate, mommy? What do you think? Or mamaya nalang sya kakain kaso hindi nya na tayo kasabay."

"Hmm.. Wag na siguro, anak. Hayaan mo na munang magpahinga 'yang ate mo since nag drive naman sya kahapon mula sa qc papuntang baguio." She explained. I nodded realizing she has a point.

Simon, mom, and i, started eating in our dining table. That when i start feeling so cold and Simon decided to take off his black jacket and put it around my shoulders. I looked up at him and thanked a lot. Few moments later, Simon broke the silence between us three. He said that he was to announce something. I asked him on what it is out of my curiosity.

"Is it okay with you tit-- mom-- ugh! Ano po bang itatawag ko sainyo?" Simon's cute ilokano accent appears.

I held his hand, preventing him from shaking. "Tita nalang, Si. Ano pabang gusto mo?"

"Pero ayos lang naman iho if tawagin mo kong mommy din, hehe." Pabirong sagot ni mommy.

Pinanlakihan ko ng mata si mommy, signaling her to stop joking like that. "Oh, chill!" Pang aasar pa ni mommy. I just jokingly rolled my eyes on her. And Simon just giggled while watching us argue.

"Oh, by the way, tita and Janna. I wanna tell you two something." Simon told us as he continued eating champorado made by my mom.

"You seem so serious huh?" Pagbibiro ko kay Simon.

He replied, "I'm serious nga eh!" Sulked Simon with his cute accent again. Hehe.

"Eh what is that all about ba, Simon?" Pag sisingit ni mommy.

"So here it is. I want to bring you three, together with your sister Jere to somewhere that is far from the cities.. And we were be staying there for a week." Simon said pertaining to his plan.

By the way, i didn't introduce you yet. But for those new readers, i have an older sister named Jeremiah Lopez. Yes, we're both J's. She's Jeremiah and i am Jannaiah. We called her Jere for short. She's 24 years old, and she's 7 years older than me. Ate Jere was working as a lawyer in our hometown, Quezon City.

"So... What do you mean?" I asked with a curiosity on my face.

"Wait- Don't tell me mag bebeach tayo?" Pangunguna ni mommy.

"Exactly, tita. But not just a beach. I found a beach somewhere in Ilocos where they are calling it, a deep breathe for brokens. Which is i think is accurate for Janna's situation today." Pagpapaliwanag ni Simon.

"Alam mo?" Both of my eyebrows raised as i gave Simon a curious expression.

Simon looked at me and looked at my mom. Mommy answered, "I told him everything about last night, anak."
