Chapter 18

Mr. & Mrs. Hu! Shocking?!

Business Tycoon Trent Wentworth Hu finally tied the knot with the daughter of a well-known family in the Philippines, Seilaverne Riche Mercondia, on the 28th of December. Their wedding ceremony in Tokyo follows the tradition of a Filipino and Japanese culture in which both of the families celebrate the new chapter of the couple.

I don't know these people personally, but they've come into my newsfeed from time to time. Noon, medyo naging controversial ang pagpakikilala ni Trent Hu ng kanyang girlfriend sa public, but they immediately set the situation down. Sa pagkaaalam ko, their engagement happened last year pa and I guess it really took them a while for their wedding. Gano'n naman talaga, things go well as time passes by.

And I know Trent Hu was a friend with another billionaire from Vegas who also married a Filipina. I think that was Devin Carrington and Celyne Anderson? I'm not really sure.

Like, ako kaya kailan?!

But they said the Filipino's heart is more sincere and genuine than the others. Wala man masyadong Pinoy sa neighbourhood namin, maybe in the future, I will meet someone to love me. That should be the thing on the top of my head rather than boys.

"Thesia," pagtawag sa akin ni Kuya Henry. Tumaas ang tingin ko papunta sa kanya. "You should go back to the tower now. Your break is about to be over."

"Do you want me to talk to Valerio?" he questioned.

I'm definitely disagreeing to that kind of suggestion. "Nope, kuya. That won't happen. Don't talk to him. I'll handle this by myself, alright?"

"You sure?"

I wouldn't let them handle this because I screwed up—though it was all going so well until Kuya Henry blew my cover. But I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna get Valerio's trust back again.

And I think without his helpers, masaya naman si Kuya Henry sa ginagawa niya.

As long as there are people trying to hit on him, okay na okay na 'yon sa kanya.

If I could just change things in a way na hindi mapasasama ang pagsali ko sa training, I would do anything, but Valerio sees me like someone who's trying to get closer to him to claim my selfish intentions.

I wanna explain and make him understand my situation, but I don't know how. I feel like he would just abruptly shut me down and I probably cried if that happens. But if I did, would he ever listen to me?

When I showed up at the training kaninang umaga, naabutan ko na siya. He intentionall avoiding any eye contacts to me.
