Chapter 20

"What were you thinking saying all those things on your live? Kinda weird," Rasha said, and I know she's already making faces even though I couldn't see her. She just made a quick call after my recent live.

"It's not dumb to say those things though," pagrarason ko pa. "It's just... never mind. You know, I just had to. And what else I could, right? I couldn't take it back. I put my words out there and you know what, I don't even care by now.

"Oh, well. You do what you gotta do," Rasha said, heaving out a sigh. "Anyway, I feel like you're happy at it. I wouldn't stop you, but if it's too much, you know what I said, right?"

"Walkout feeling pretty," we both said in chorus. Natawa na lang kaming dalawa.

"I think I should go now, Rash. We're three hours away before midnight."

"And we're still more than eight hours away and I've got a lot of things to do so yeah, I gotta call you later or maybe tomorrow morning. Oh! Oh! Before you go, is Henry there?"

"No, I'm alone in my room, but yeah, he's in the house. He mostly cooked the food for dinner tonight."

"Wow, that's cool. He's like husband material."

"Stop with that, Rash. And I think he's eyeing someone else from the beach. Since you left, he's been talking to someone else there..."

"That's not true—"

"I won't deny it or say anything." Halakhak ko pa. "Anyway, advance happy new year! See you soon, Rash!"

"Thesia!"

I intentionally dropped the call. Mom told we should wear like semi-casual and semi-formal just to celebrate the new year. And it's special for us, hindi man kami kumpleto ngayon, we still know we're always connected to each other.

"Its dinner time," ani kuya. "And I didn't expect you're saying it for real, but... you've got a guest down there."

My expectations were dropping an hour and hour when it seemed like he wouldn't show up, but I guess I shouldn't drop it excessively when things could change over the time.

"What are you gonna do with that?" I asked, pertaining at the coat he was holding.

"Well, first of all, you didn't tell him we would be wearing semi-formal today so I picked out a coat for him on my closet."

"Oh... okay... I apologize. I didn't really think he would show up right after what happened the last time."

"Ah, yeah, about that... don't worry, little sis, I won't say or do anything stupid. But I couldn't account what would Emmett say or do so..." He smirked. "Let's go downstairs. They're already there I think."

"Sure..."

I was startled a little when he did that. Para akong bumalik sa katinuan. I tried shaking my body just to loose the tension and get calm.

Though he looks so different. Did he just cut his hair?
