Julia's P.O.V

I drive straight to the cinema and the movie goes by so quickly. On my way out of the building, I bump into a tall, muscular guy with an intimidating face.

Mills.
___

"Hi." I nervously greeted him, scratching the back of my neck.

"You." he smiled. "Why were you watching a movie by yourself, where is your boyfriend?" he asked referring to Aaron.

"He, uhm... He's busy with something." I said, not really knowing what to say.

"I hope he's not stepping on other people's territories." he chuckled and I chuckled back in response. "How was the movie?" he asked.

"It was good, I enjoyed it." I smiled. "I didn't know that you like Shakespeare." I said, seeing that he does not look like someone who would be interested in Shakespeare.

"He's good, so why wouldn't I like him." he smiled. "Tell your boyfriend that I said he shouldn't let you watch movies by yourself, or else I'll have to teach him a lesson." he said and I chuckle nervously in response.

"I should get going." I tell him to end this awkward moment.

"Yeah, you better tell him." he smiled, heading in an opposite direction.

"I will." I chuckled lightly.

I get into my car and let Leah know that I'll be at her house in less than 15 minutes.

I pull up in front of her house and find her curled up in a fleece blanket in front of the TV with a cup of hot chocolate in her hand.

"I wish I was you at the moment." I said, plopping next to her and she smiled back in response.

"And where were you?" she asked me.

"Watching a movie, I told you about it."

"Oh, and how was the party yesterday?" she asked sitting up straight. "Want some?" she asked, raising her cup.

"No thank you, I'll pass. I had some coffee this morning." I smiled. "So, yesterday was something else." I blushed and continue telling her everything that happened. From the moment Aaron came to pick me up at my house (asking me to be his girlfriend) all the way to the point where he left me on the couch with a passed out Britney. I leave out the part of the creep because I don't want to worry her.

"You're telling me that you and Aaron are... dating?" she asked and I can't really tell by her tone of voice and her facial expression whether she's happy or shocked.

"Yeah, he even got me this bracelet." I smiled showing it to her.

"Nice." she uttered, not looking at me.

"What is up with you Leah? I expected you to be happy for me. I tell you about my first boyfriend, and all you can say is nice. Wow, really." I blurted out.

"I would've been happy for you if your boyfriend wasn't the so-called player, the golden boy of Wellington High School!" she blurted out as well.

"What is your problem with Aaron?" I asked, trying my best to keep my voice down.

"Everything. Yes, he's all hot, muscular and he sure is a sweet talker, but he's just a piece of sh*t."

"You talk like you know him. So, enlighten me since you know everything about him." I said, folding my hands.

"Jules, trust me on this one. He is going to hurt you, he doesn't love you. He doesn't even know what love is." she said, lowering her voice as well.

"You're so quick to judge others. Says the person who left a guy that loved her, for a guy who ended up breaking her heart. And here you are, calling Aaron a player." I smirked.

The minute these words leave my mouth I just wish I could swallow them back in. Bringing up her past really wasn't my intention, but she pushed me, and I know that this is no excuse. She trusted me, and here I am, judging her for the mistake that she made.

"You know, I didn't think that you would be this way; standing up for someone that's just using you. And yes, I admit that I made a mistake by leaving Jake for Caleb, but you really didn't have to remind me." she said with tears glistening in her eyes. "Aaron doesn't love you Jules. End whatever you two have before it's too late."

I was so close to apologizing to her for bring up the whole Jake, Leah and Caleb matter, but here she is, still bad mouthing my boyfriend.

"You know what, I don't really care whether you like him or not because I do. And if you can't be happy for me, then I don't think you and I can still be friends." I said, abruptly standing up and heading towards the door. "I hope you realize how much you've hurt me by insulting my boyfriend." I said before smacking the door shut.

I don't know if I'm mostly angry at Leah for the things she just said about Aaron or if I'm angry at the fact that our friendship just ended over this matter.

I get into my car and drive over to Kevin's to fetch a few things that I couldn't get last week.

"Don't tell me that Sandra said you should spend the night here just because she got too drunk to pay attention to you." Kevin said in annoyance.

"I don't need her attention, and I'm not spending the night here. I just came to fetch a few things." I said after closing the door.

"Good. You seem to be in an angry mood, but don't tell me about it because I don't care." he said.

Then why point it out if you won't listen to me?

I ignore him and head to my room to fetch my laptop and a few of my sweaters. I head back downstairs and take an apple from the kitchen counter.

"Take some for your mother." he said.

"Why? Because she's too drunk to go to the malls and buy apples for herself?" I asked him, sounding a bit harsh.

"No, becau- Actually, yes." he said. "I don't want you calling me during the middle of the night, telling me about your mother's weak condition." he added.

Just when I thought he was about to say something meaningful.

I take another apple and head to my car to drive back to Sandra's. I open the door and toss her the apple. I take out a tub of yogurt that a bought a week ago and head to my room. After plopping on the bed, I open my laptop and binge watch some Netflix series.
