I turn the lights on as Julie sits up. She gives me the death glare as I smirk.

"Well hello to you, too!" I chuckle.

"Why am I still here?" She asks.

"Isn't it obvious? The boys haven't shown up yet."

"And you think this is the best option? Why are you trying to bring them back anyways?"

"So many questions! Anyways, that is none of your concern." I smirk.

"You're just trying to get on Caleb's good side again, aren't you?" She asks and I freeze.

"I'm sorry, but I don't recall you ever knowing what happens between us." I say.

"Clearly nothing good. Otherwise you wouldn't be this way-"

"I am this way because I chose to be! Not everything happens because of someone else!" I yell.

"Then go back to the old Emma-"

"The old Emma is gone!"

"Why bring the boys back, then? If all you're going to do is disappoint them." Oh, she wants to start, doesn't she?

"Disappoint them?" I scoff. "I wouldn't talk about that if I were you! I tried to trust you from the start. But you changed the band that once existed. And look at everything now. They forgot about me. They could care less about me."

"That is not true! They always talk about asking you to come back. But knowing Caleb, they thought it would be impossible." She explains.

"Well, isn't that unfortunate? Anyways, I think we've both had enough of this. So, with that being said, I'll just be on my way." I say.

"Emma please. You need to find yourself."

"This is the real me, Julie. Whether people like it or not."

"Leave me and the boys out, then." She says.

"Mmm, yeah that's not going to happen." I chuckle and turn around.

Julie: This has to stop now
Whatever it is that you're going through
We'll fix it together, me and you
Just like we've always done

I roll my eyes and turn back around.

Emma: No! This has to stop now
This thing where you think that you've been my friend
And don't even hear how you condescend
The way you've always done

Julie (Emma):Emma, listen (I'm listening)
I know it isn't true (Isn't it?)
Just look into my eyes now (Well?)
I know you feel it too (Perhaps I do)
Emma, listen (I'm listening)

Julie: I swear it's not too late
So before another line gets crossed
And everything we've had is lost
Just... wait

Emma: Wait?

No, I won't wait

I turn around and walk towards the door.

There's a line between the winners and the losers
There's a line between the chosen and the rest
And I've done the best I could
But I've always known just where we stood
Me here with the luckless
You there with the blessed
And that line between the beggars and the choosers
Is a line you've never let me quite ignore

How I've tried to jump that great divide
But I've never got the chances you were given
You don't know how much I've been denied
Well, I'm not being patient anymore

I then turn back around to face Julie.

I'm crossing the line!
And I'm done holding back
So look out, clear the track
It's my turn!

I'm taking what's mine!
Every drop, every smidge
If I'm burning a bridge
Let it burn
But I'm crossing the line!

And for us, if we're over
That's fine
I'm crossing the line

I grab Julie's arm and pull her towards me.

"I'd suggest you'd stop trying to change me. Because it will never happen." She gasps as she feels a slight burn on her arm. "I guess the old saying goes. Actions speak louder than words." I laugh as I walk out the room and shut the door.

They can try as many times to battle.

But I'll always win the fight.
