Lukas paces the office.

"Honestly i dont even know how this photo was posted okay" he says.

"Lukas sit your ass down before you pass out" i instruct him.

He sits down on the chair, with his legs apart and his elbows on both knees.

He rests his chin on his hands.

I tuck myself into the desk.

"I'm sorting it out okay, I've got Mason Royal destroying all the newspapers" I tell him.

"That makes it, somewhat better" he says.

"I admit that it could've been better, then what it turned out like, but at least were sorting it." I sigh.

He sighs.

Mason Royal enters the office.

"And Mason doesn't know how to knock" i smirk.

"And i have also brought you good news" he tells me.

Lukas looks up from the floor, and toward Mason.

"Go on" i tell him.

Mason, crosses his arms and looks down at me.

"Firstly, i want a raise" he says to me.

I blink twice.

"I'm sorry, but who's the boss here." I look around the office.

"Dalton, I'm not afraid of you, the newspapers are gone, and i want a raise. The shit your paying me to do your dirty work is awful." He tells me.

I roll my eyes.

"Does it look like I'm made of money" i ask him.

"Dude, you robbed over 20 million" he says

"Fine" i sigh, i open the desk draw to see a couple hundred and throw it to him.

He doesn't catch it, it falls to the floor but i stand up anyway.

"Right, there, Lukas come on were going" i smile to Mason.

Mason picks up the money from the floor, and then leaves in a hurry as Lukas laughs in the corner.

"Your harsh" he tells me.

"I only am" i say.

—-

Were in a coffee shop in the city.

"So what are you planning on doing with Avery?" Lukas questions me over coffee.

"Well firstly, you should tone it down so then i don't get arrested." I tell him.

He chuckles, and stirs his coffee with a spoon.

"I don't know man, I'm getting so many mixed feelings..." i say but he interrupts me.

"You stayed with her last night" he says.

I fell asleep over a boring ass movie.

I didn't plan on staying but it was nice.

My first morning with her.

However it only consisted of us arguing and me leaving in a huff.

"Yeah and?" I question him.

"How is that mixed feelings?" He tells me.

"Because, she lets me do things, but talks down to me, then we argue and..." i trail off and drink my coffee.

It burns my throat but the taste lingers in my mouth.

"So are you going to let her go or?" He asks.

"No, no i cant do that." I tell him.

"Okay, but please, you haven't forgotten about the deal right." He tells me.

"No, no I haven't forgotten about it." I say.

The deal is easy, its if it doesn't work that triggers me.

Because i want it to work.

"Can Olivia see her?" He questions me.

I dart my eyes up at him.

He shrugs is shoulders.

"How the hell is that going to work, 'oh hi Liv, haven't seen you in 4 years, by the way here's your best friend that has been living in my underground bunker for the past several weeks'" i trail off again.

He laughs to himself.

"No, but you could let her go, have her stay in the building and not in the bunker, give her more to life then daunting, black walls." He tells me.

"Oh-thats actually a good idea" i say.

"Yeah, and maybe, just maybe... she can change and lay low a bit" he says, with a swig of his coffee.

"So she'd be living like belle with the beast" i tell him.

"And your the beast" he quirks his eyebrow and smiles.

I laugh at him.

"I'll think about it okay" i tell him.

"Okay" he says.
