"Wait wait what's going on? Who are you people? Where are the factions?" Andrew starts asking

"About 100 years ago, we started an experiment to try out a systematic government. We find it ignorant to try things without knowing the side effects. We reserved a place to be used and cleared minds of willing volunteers, and sent them in. 100 years later here we are with the cause of our failure, the system could've been beautiful if you let the society work it out." The man in the middle said

"We are the society, and that's how we worked it out." I said raising my voice a little.

"Today at 5 sharp there will be a trial to determine your fates. Each of you will be assigned a lawyer, don't be late." The one on the left says then they all stand up,
this is all their fault, because of them my life's at risk.

"Tell Jimmy to take them to the law wing, and make me a bagel as well," the left one said then they all leave

"Eric baby?" I say looking to eric with cute eyes

"Yes darling?" He answers softening his look, I get closer and wrap my arms around his neck and come in close, right before our lips touch I slap the back of his head with all my might.

"She's still got it." Harry says nodding at Andrew

"Damn right she does," eric says rubbing the back of his head.

"We're all gonna die. That's it." I say pacing back and fourth, "my parents are dead...Henry's dead..joeys dead.." I say starting to hyperventilate.
"They're all dead..they're all dead!" I cry falling into Toby's arms.
"They're all dead they're all dead.." I cry into his shoulder and he rubs my back. I hear the rest try to come near me

"You guys no. You're the last people she wants to be near right now." Toby says moving us away

"Is she okay?" I hear a familiar voice say, it's jimmys.

"No." Toby sighs

"Well, we have to get you all to the law wing..its 4:45 right now." He says looking at his watch

"I don't even care. I'm guilty as charged. Let me die." I cry

"You don't mean that," jimmy says rubbing my back. I feel toby tense for a second then he relaxes,

"I do. You don't know what's happened.." I say Quietly

"Perhaps I don't, but maybe if you get through this maybe one day, just one day, you can tell me everything.." He says softly

I nod against toby "perhaps.."

"Now let's get you guys to the law wing." He smiles

We get to the law wing and jimmy takes us to the stands. The trial goes on for hours, non stop debate on whether to kill us or not, and finally the judge rules his decision

"I rule them, not guilty." Then he bangs his gavel. "Case closed" I let out a breath. Am I happy?
As were walking out im stopped by jimmy
"So now you have plenty of time to tell me what happened back at area 02," he says

"Why are you so interested in me?" I ask walking around and he follows

"Well who wouldn't be interested in a beautiful girl from a far away land with a past that is only know to a select few." He walks in front of me then faves me as he walks backwards
"Who ever wouldn't is completely blind to the simple pleasures that is human existence and human interaction." He smiles

"Where shal we talk then?" I smile

"Wanna come to my apartment?" I raised an eyebrow
"There's food there so.." He continues

"I'm in, take me to your humble abode," I say mocking him and hooking arms

We walk through the hallways and people give me stares
"Why are they all staring at me?" I ask

"For the last 100 years we've grown up looking at pictures of you guys in books, it's kinda surreal seeing a real person from area 02." Je says stopping at a door and pulling out a card to unlock it

"Make yourself at home" he says taking off his jacket. He locks the door real quick the. Sits down on an arm chair.
"What's your story?" He asks

"Well," I say sitting down on the couch,
"I am- was Jeanine matthews daughter, she's a faction leader for erudite. I didn't belong there so I transferred and she took it badly..I was a great erudite but I yearned adventure and dauntless has that. I guess I did well in initiation and the leaders liked me. They gave me an opportunity to learn about leadership before initiation was over. We started talking bout how erudite is flawed and dauntless needed to take charge and remake the system. I was so delusional and I hated my parents at the time..I didn't think of the consequences and my parents and best friends are dead as well as all these innocent people.." I say starting to sob. "It's all my fault..and it's all because I wanted to rebel.. Now I don't talk to the leaders.. I don't hate all of them, anybody that gets close to me ends up hurt sooner or later.."
I look up at him to see him nodding deep in thought.

"You are a metaphor miss. A tube of toothpaste that is." He says and I look at him confused

"All these events and idiots squeezing the paste- your emotions- out of you, and try to put it back in but the task is harder than it seems. You had everything taken out of you, and all these people think they can, put the paste back in the tube, but they just end up squeezing more out. A metaphor." He concluded

"I guess I'm a tube of toothpaste," I chuckle sadly. "But what do we do now? You took us away from the faction system.." I ask

"Now you live amongst us like normal human beings. The system is not that hard, later on You will be escorted to the town center for testing. It'll tell you exactly what job is best for you, then you'll do it."

"That's it?"

"That's it. Now go to sleep you've been through so much."

I did as he said and went to a room to sleep. But the reality is that I didn't sleep, I layed there and stared at the ceiling for hours. My old life is gone and I'm about to start a new one.
