Obsidian nights fill my mind
Pure and glistening
No hint of color
Until I see you
My glittering opal
You bring the rainbow into my darkness
Lighting all the corners within
But darkness never really fades
It lies in wait in the corners and cracks
Like a viper hunting prey
I am always the prey
But you my opal have pushed it back
Pushed back the black that is always on attack
Without you the night would consume me
I would become one with that glassy obsidian night
I fear the day you will leave me alone
And I will lose my rainbow stone.
