Don't mind the scars I try to hide
Whether they are dermis or inside
Don't mind the cracks across my lips
From the thousand smiles devised
Do you see my crow's feet
Growing deeper where my lashes meet
Squinting to crush the tears
But the languished liquid still leaks
Please don't judge my silence
There's an emotional battle of violence
I keep this distance for my safety
For there is no worthy recompense
I fight through another day
Of what ifs and what would they says
I fear my damage is under a microscope
For the world to judge or praise
Please don't look too close
I'm afraid of what you'll see
Will it be the smiling bubbly me
Or the scars that rage like the sea.
