The spiders in my mind weave their web
Dread creeps along the fibers
Spiders lay their traps inside my happiness
Distress is the nectar that traps me
Beneath it the spiders poison seeps in
Beginning my struggle against the spider's web
The spiders crawl in my head at night
They lay their eggs and leave at light
The eggs get warm and hatch
Spider's skit and scurry through my memories
Skeletons remain sucked dry
Exoskeletons of things once fond
The spider's skit and scurry through my mind
Leaving silken trails
The spiders find the bugs that hide inside
I worry the spiders will suck all my bugs dry
I won't have anything left, but corpses.
