Once upon a time I was in love
The years passed by so fast
And I realized it was a lie
It wasn't a person that caused my heart to race
It wasn't being reminiscent
I was in love with being in love
My amber goddess
A sweet addiction
Honey lingering on my tongue
Slipping sweetly between my lips
Smiles trapped in place
Intoxicating and addictive
Overindulgence does not quell
It leaves me lacking
Melting away after every pass of my tongue
My amber goddess sweet as honey
I can never get my fill
Your crystalline liquid has done its damage
The rot has set in
Pulling bits of me does not stop the disease
Because I still want more
Please my amber goddess
Slide across my lips
Tangle around my tongue
Feed my addiction again.

PoezieThis is a collection of poems that I have written about my struggles with depression, anxiety, love, nature, and the darker aspect of the world that seems to always hammer on my heart. I hope this reaches some of you.
