Do you see the twisted in me
The depravity touched by insanity
Your love gives me a shove
Like a dove from above
In my decent I repent
You are heaven sent and have lent
Me the fortitude to battle at length
No judgment of my strength
Oil upon the water of my laughter
Slaughter of night's daughter
You have taken that which destroys
Replacing it with rainbow joy
Light battling against moonless skies
Stumbling towards the glow that dies
How does one bottle starlight
To kiss it in the gloom of night
Pressed against my cheek
Warmth's radiation I seek
To fight my blizzards cold
Blinded by the flurry of old
You are my bottled starlight
The North Star upon my weary travels
The rainbow after my storms
Oil shimmering upon turbulent waters.
