There is an eclipse within myself
Blinding but beautiful
Rare as red rubies
Devastating all the same
I wish I could give it a name
Or a withered face to place the blame
It has become a blood sky
Within my mind's eye
Distracting and dangerous
If I gaze too long
The eclipse within myself
So beautiful but dangerous.
