"Nothing. I have been doing nothing. But it's going to change now."

"Damn right it should. Because basement and hospital? The two people who are supposed to be by your side?" Vin mocked.

"Can you not?"

In their journey to the elders they totally stopped.  No Vin stopped first then Mew stopped too.

"What?" Mew asked.

"Let's be honest to each other right here. I feel like our lives and our packs are already intertwined so let's be honest to each other; just what is going on here?

Mew sighed, "A lot. A lot is going on and Vin, I need your help."

"What do you need?"

"A peace treaty. I need a peace treaty from Bittè and more."

"And more?"

"Well if you're going to get my commander and Beta then I should get more from you! Don't you agree?"

"I almost got your mate too. You didn't mention that." Vin mentioned with a cocky attitude.

"Yeah too soon." Mew was not impressed.

"To the elders we go?" Vin started walking towards the wrong direction.

"This way," you fool, Mew wanted to add but ended up only saying it in his head.

"But why do you have a council? Do you not trust your alpha?" Vin was full of questions.

"I don't!!"

"He's your father!" Vin pointed out amused by Mew's response.

"The more reason why I don't trust him." Mew said it under his breath but Vin heard it loud and clear.

"It's messed up in here isn't it?"

"The worst but it'll get better from now on."

"It has to." Vin promised.

They arrived at the council chambers and Mew was surprised the elder and the seniors council had gathered themselves.

Mew presented Vin to the elder and the seniors and they all greeted him respectfully and offered him a seat.

"To what do we owe this pleasant visit?" The elder asked nicely.

"Recently my mate came to see me but our conversation did not go well so im here to see him."

"Who is your mate?" The elder asked as if he didn't know.

"The beta."

"Junior beta you mean?" A council member asked a dumb question.

It was confusing to Vin but he agreed. "Yes. The junior beta. The young looking beta."

Mew cleared his throat to stop Vin from making unnecessary emphasis. He had figured out during their talk that Vin was the type of person who wanted to make jokes and have fun but this was not the time for that.

"Is that all?"

Mew turned to look at Vin as if to cue him of their talk earlier.

"And also to unofficially offer a peace treaty and propose an idea of unification."

Mew's head swiftly turned to Vin shocked. They hadn't discussed that. And the room went into an uproar.

Unification spelled trouble. It was something that didn't happen overnight. It needed deliberation and more deliberation and the fact that Vin had dropped that bomb without discussing with him first made Mew's blood boil.
