Ruvyzvat P.O.V

What I did yesterday...was it the best course of action? There are different meanings for certain types of flowers but ignored them all this time and now.

I woke up extra early this morning to get more information about that flower. I was lucky enough to stumble at the back of the Church where I found the library. Reading about the different kinds of flowers and their meaning. I already read about five of them and still haven't found them.

After a while, something caught my sight, a yellow flower similar to the one I gave Sarv yesterday.

It was called Yellow Gerbera, and the meaning behind the flower surprised me.

I traced the words with my finger. "In many cultures, yellow symbolizes happiness and vigor, and the gerbera flowers symbolize joyousness. This is a perfect gift to give to those who have had a hard time or those who are depressed and worn out. This flower variation is sure to bring back joy to them." I snap the book shut and then place it on the table before ruffling my hair.

"Well, at least it didn't have any bad means to it, I just hope she's happy with it." I shifted a bit on my chair, at the thought of caring for somebody else's feelings rather than just myself. Sure I cared for others before but that was all buried when I started hunting down Mafia families to get information on the ones who killed my Dedushka.

I push a lot of good people away from me to keep them all safe. "Hm, I was able to push them away from me but," I paused as images of Sarvente clouded my mind, her hands both intertwined and her smile radiating with such joy that could light up the entire room. But something is bothering me about why she chose to keep someone like me in a place like this not to mention a sacred place "Why wasn't she scared of me? Someone who murders people in cold blood? Why in heaven and earth would anyone wanna help a mass-murdering criminal?" I ruffled my hair again out of frustration which at this point probably looks like a chaotic mess.

She knows what I do yet she's still persistent with me to stay and hoping that my sins would be forgiven, that I could make it to heaven and have eternal happiness. To be honest, I don't care where I'll end up in the afterlife, I don't care if my sins are forgiven or not as long as I finish my purpose I'm good.

Sarvente is worthy to be in heaven and has her eternal happiness, as long as she keeps herself from using foul language.

When I first met her she was sassy and antsy at the same time, it doesn't mean I hated her personality it was rather the other way around.

I heard a door open and the sound of heels getting closer and closer. I quickly got up and tried to hide the book behind me. "Hey! Ruvyzvat there you are, I was looking all over for you!" She shouted at me as she stopped a few steps away with her arms crossed. "What is it that you want women?" I said as I moved a bit to the side to cover the other books behind me. "You haven't eaten breakfast yet and you've been acting suspiciously nice since yesterday, are you hiding something from me?" She raised a brow.

"No"

"What's that behind you?"

"A random book."

"Yeah, no I'm not buying it show it to me immediately!" She tried to reach for it, but I simply held it up out of her reach. "Don't be stubborn and give it to me!"

It took me a second to realize how close she was, pressing those...yeah those which made me lose focus enabling her to grab it from my hand. I tried to get it back, but her right arm kept pushing me away.

"Don't read it!"

"Why are you getting so worked up over a book It's!" She turns her head to read the book. "Flowers and their meanings?" I ceased my attempt to get it back and backed away.

"This is what made you skip breakfast?!" Her voice is full of anger and annoyance. "I'm confiscating this and you better be done with your breakfast or no dinner tonight, got it?!" She said, poking my chest repeatedly, and then left leaving me confused. "That wasn't the reaction I was expecting to see."

Sarvente's P.O.V

What's with him today? Giving flowers and reading in the library early in the morning? He usually patrolled around the Church or just stayed inside his room as his daily routine.

I looked at the book in my hand reading the title again. "Flowers and their meanings." I didn't know he liked flowers so much that he'd read a book about them, whenever I look at him he seems more like the kind who does the opposite.

Then I noticed some sort of bookmark placed between pages 56 to 57. When I opened it, it showed a picture of a yellow flower labeled "Yellow Gerbera." I paused to take a look at the picture again. "Isn't that the flower he gave me yesterday?" I raised a brow and proceeded to read the meaning behind the flower. "The Yellow Gerbera flowers are also a perfect gift to give to those who have had a hard time or those who are depressed and worn out..." I paused again to gather my thoughts.

"Is he...Is he worried about me?" I can feel my cheeks heating up after those words come out of my mouth.

I feel like a giggle is about to come out of my throat."I guess that means he doesn't hate me."

Course, he doesn't hate you Sarv. Anyway for those who didn't know Dedushka means grandpa in Russian The Dedushka Ruv speaks of is not his grandpa but chooses to call him that. Hope you guys liked the chapter and make sure to leave a comment of what you think in the comment section thank you and happy 🎆
