No one's POV

"Everyone please keep quiet and listen carefully as I'm only going to explain this once. First of all welcome to Idris Academy." Councillor Robert started. Robert had filled in for Maryse as she had to patrol the New York Institute shadowhunters and make sure their duties were in order and weren't rebelling or doing anything that was going against the clave. Robert Lightwood started talking about how great the Academy was and how excited they were on their arrival and this new change in the shadowworld society and random other stuff. Clary began to listen as what he said next might have been important. "To start off with as some of you might have guessed there will be no females and males sharing dorm rooms." The crowd started groaning and arguing back in annoyance. "Ok that's enough!" He demanded, silencing the audience. Jace stared down Robert at his outrageous order. Robert looked apologetic to Jace but also warning. "Girls and boys will also be given a time table after their dorm rooms and elective picks have been sorted out. Thanks to Magnus it shouldn't take long. You will all also be attending a uniform fitting after checking your belongings in your assigned rooms. Yes there is a uniform and it must be worn correctly." The audience was fuming, first the clave strips them of their life, then locks them down in Idris mandating an education, and now their taking away their bedroom and clothing rights. Angry people shouted and united together rioting in anger and protest of the clave discussions. Guardsman who were stand out front protecting Robert and keeping watch for any unacceptable behaviour began pulling out weapons and walking and shouting at the crowd. Clary turned once again in Jace's arms, "I want to go back to New York, Jace I don't want to be here, non of this is fair they're taking away all of our free rights. We're old enough to be able to live and make our own choices." Clary said angry and worried. He looked at her worried almost unable to respond, "I know Angel, I know." He said kissing her forehead, his tone was soft but she could sense the hesitated fear. She knew they could both kill them all right here right now if they wanted to but it was too risky especially if they put their friends and family in danger. "Clary your my family, which means no one is going to boss you around especially you, everyone knows what'll happen if they cross a line with you or me. They know I love you more than anything, and if they don't I'll show them and make an example out of them. Clary I promise you I'm gonna make this right." "No!" Clary protested, "no you shouldn't have to promise me anything. I'm not staying here and neither are you. I can portal us back to New York or somewhere they won't find us. Jace we are unstoppable so what are we doing listening to these rat faced minions with no hearts or care about anything?" "Clary we can't leave." "Jace please. Please you promised me you wouldn't let anything bad happen to us. This is it-" "Clary. Calm down. I don't like it either but I promise you we're going to be fine." He said soothingly stroking her head. She turned around and walked out of his hold heading towards the front. "Clary baby come on, where are you going?" He could tell she was angry, she hated being controlled and monitored, and who could blame her for being upset. She seemed to be walking through the Red Sea as a path seemed to be clearing for her to get through, he saw her reach down her boot and pull out a dagger as she headed straight for the guardsman. He ran after her and lifted her in the air bringing her back to their last spot. "Jace what are you doing put me down." She demanded punching his back. "Not until you get it together Clary, you can't just kill anyone you want, there are consequences especially when you've got over 50,000 witnesses." "Actually I can." She said frustrated. "Well obviously you can and you should, but I won't let you." He finalised. He put her down when she started relaxing and didn't protest his grip. He looked into her eyes, they were dark and scary, for a split second he thought she was still connected to Jonathan. He looked back at her fierce and demanding. He slid through her dagger back into her boot while he knelt down and steadied his hold on her by her thighs. Once the blade had slipped through he looked up at her to find her already looking down at him, her expression remained dark and cold. He sighed and raised himself planting his feet on the ground. He held her by the waist delicately, she flinched and looked away almost as if his gentle touch aggravated her, she didn't want him to tell her to stay because she knew she would listen, she wanted him to run away with her even if it was risky, it was slightly out of character for her but she always took him by surprise, besides that she hated being told what to do by anyone other than Jace. He could tell she didn't want to hear what he had to say but she would listen to him anyway and it broke him to make her do something she felt uncomfortable, unsafe, or didn't want to do. "Clary." He said firm but gently, he sounded almost pleading as if in that one word he said 'please I'm sorry, I hate making you feel like this or not being able to help you when your like this but please baby trust me when I tell you it's all going to be alright.' She rested her head on his shoulder refusing to look him in the eyes. "Clary please look at me, Angel please." His voice cracked, he sounded like he wanted to cry. He couldn't stand that he was making her feel this way and knew how and who to eliminate without doing a thing about it. He nodded his head in understanding and defeat as she kept her head planted on his shoulder looking directly away from him. He hugged her back protectively. "Listen, I know you don't want to hear it but I'm telling you anyway. Neither one of us is going anywhere. You will not leave without me and or someone I trust with you, and you will not do anything that will give them any reason to keep a closer eye on you or anything that will get you in trouble, if you have a problem you come to me and let me handle it. I'm dealing with a few things right now but non of them comes close to being half as important as your safety." Jace whispered firmly and sternly in her ear so that only she could hear. She didn't seem to move but the thoughts and regrets of not covering his mouth crawled and creeped in her head. She should have shut him up, that way he wouldn't have said it out loud and that way she could've still had a chance on leaving with him, she supposed she'd just have to wait until it was definitely necessary to disobey his loving, protective demand. Still though she remained still as a statue refusing to look at him. He chuckled to himself as he thought about how moments ago she was all over him and now she didn't even want to look at him, nevertheless he rubbed her back gently in small circles and rested his right hand on the back of her head. "This on thing Jace. All I'm asking is just this one thing and now it's not even going to happen because you know I'm not going to do anything behind your back or against your wishes. Why can't you just do this one thing for me? I hate it here! I'm in a magical country to be forced into a school, prison, academy whatever you want to call it, stuck with thousands of random people who I don't know and probably hate me and no-" Clary started to rant frantically on the verge of tears, she had pushed herself off of Jace as he looked at her fragile state and interrupted her concerned to sooth her worries before she lost it. "Hey hey hey! Your not alone, we have all our friends here and I'm not going to leave your side! I promise. And no one here hates you, that would be ridiculous and if they did I would make them regret it. But anyways come on since when did people not liking you ever effect you?" He said, his voice gentle and soft and it was reserved only for her, he never spoke to anyone else this way, only her and it always made her feel special. She looked to the ground a tear escaping her eye and she swung her body away from him ignoring his question. "You promise?" She whispered so quietly and broken that it took him a moment to make out what she said. "What's this really about Clary?" She didn't look at him, only wiped away a fresh tear that rolled out of her other eye. He hesitated before walking forward and pressing his body to her back. "Talk to me." He pleaded resting his forehead on the back of her head.

Robert had still been talking but neither of them were listening. "We should listen to Robert he might say something we need to hear." She avoided talking to him about what she was really worried about because she thought it was stupid. "No, no don't shut me out here. What are you really afraid of?" She looked around and saw so many people mostly girls give her jealous glares, drooling over Jace, or trying to get his attention by moving their body in certain ways and lifting their clothing to reveal little to the imagination. So many girls would kill to have Jace even punch them just to have that moment of contact and here she was pushing him away when he was trying to comfort her and was revealing a vulnerable side of him in front of thousands of people, a side he only liked to show and reveal to her, with not a care about anyone but her and her happiness and safety.

Her eyes searched the area until they wondered to a group of horny and barley clothed girls biting their lips at Jace with desperation and clear desires for him in their eyes. They were a group of 6 a mix of blonds and brunettes, blue eyes and brown, shadowhunters, werewolves and vampires. The girls wore tight short scrunched at the sides mini skirts that ended 1cm just below their bums and very thin revealing spaghetti strapped tank tops with matching black high heels. One girl who looked like might have been the leader was moving her body up and down slightly as she stood. She looked an inch or 2 taller than Clary, skinny, blond hair with bright blue complementing eyes that looked like the sky. She took off her black short coat and gave it to one of the girls who started crying with desire just looking at him. The girl who took off her coat wore a black short dress that had medium sized holes down her crest to her bellybutton that gave clear views of what was underneath.

The girl looked a little more filled out than she was and Clary realised it more as she swayed her hips as she walked towards Jace with her lip being bit down on hard

Clary scanned the girl once more before turning her head to Jace, he hadn't seemed to have noticed the girl yet as his eyes were still glued on her, awaiting an answer. She turned back around and gulped as she drifted her view to the snowy white ground. The weather seemed to have warmed up a lot at the Academy, Clary assumed that it was because of the part of Idris they were in. Idris is a tropical country so the weather was always shifting from hot, cold, and warm.
