"Because I'm pretty when I cry"

He ignored me and continued to hug me tightly. I gave up on hitting him and cried harder than ever.

In a matter of seconds, I've gone from loving this man unconditionally to loathing him.

But I couldn't deny a large amount of love I still felt for him after what he did.

But I could not let that win. He hit me and I couldn't allow him to think that that was okay at all. And I also couldn't let it happen again.

I gave Antonio a particularly hard punch in the face and he let go of me as I stood up from the floor.

As soon as I scrambled back up to my feet and Antonio grabbed me again and threw me onto the wall.

He was kicking the life out of me and I passed out. Everything went black.

FLASHBACK CONTINUED

When I finally awakened from my deep slumber, my body began to throb in pain. My head was pounding immensely and I felt as if I was practically having a migraine.

I instantly brought my knees to my chest and covered my body when I looked down at myself seeing that I was naked in a cold bathtub.

What the heck?

I looked around the hotel resort's luxurious bathroom when my eyes met with the devil.

He was standing at the side of the tub eyeing me like a predator watches its prey.

Anger immediately began to boil in the depths of my body and I felt my nails squeeze into my palms as my fists curled.

"What is this, Antonio?" I gritted out staring into his emotionless eyes.

I grabbed the tub as support and tried to straighten out my knees and leave when a sharp pain filled my body.

I fell on my butt and groaned in frustration.

"Careful," Antonio said.

He came over to seat me more comfortably in the tub as if he cares about my wellbeing. Like he was not just littering my body with bruises.

I glared at him.

His face held no emotion and neither did his voice.

Antonio avoided eye contact with me and walked over towards the faucet of the tub.
