Two months later

Annika was coming back from a meeting in a cab.

A(in her mind): I have been trying to get someone to invest in my business venture for 2 months and still no luck. How will I grow my business without money? So far I have invested all the money I could save from my job, to run the business online. And whatever we earn goes into covering running costs.

They were driving in the underpass when suddenly the cab stopped with a jerk

A: What happened bhaiyya?

TaxiDriver: Madam the engine has stopped, I'll check

Annika got down from the car

A: Is it something serious bhaiyya? Will you be able to fix it?

A sedan that was passing by, stopped a few meters ahead. The window rolled down and a man asked them if they needed help. The taxi driver explained the issue with the car.

The driver of the sedan came out to have a look at the engine and confirmed that the car needed to be towed.

Another window rolled down and an older man looked out

Man: It's raining quite heavily, and the cab driver can't abandon his car. Can we drop you somewhere?

TaxiDriver: yes madam, you should go

A: Are you sure, bhaiyya?

TaxiDriver: yes madam, it will be safer for you

Annika paid the driver and sat in the sedan

A: Thank you so much for the lift uncle.

Man: No problem, just let the driver know where to drop you

A file fell out of her bag as she spoke with the driver. The man picked it up and saw that it was a business proposal.

Man: You dropped this

A: Oh, I'm looking for investors for my business, this is a proposal for that

Man: You mind if I take a look?

A: sure

Man: Listen, never share a business idea with a stranger. You have made this mistake today but be careful next time. You should always protect your ideas, get patents. Anyone with more means and money can become a competitor

He looked through her balance sheets
