Flashback
Om: What's up with you Shivaay? I haven't seen you so angry in a long time
S: Don't even get me started man. I'm so mad at Annika right now
Om: What happened?
S: We haven't been on the same page for some time now. She asked me what I think about our future. And she told me what she wanted. And then she LEFT. On top of everything she hasn't been answering my calls or responding to my texts
Om: What did you say to her? What was your response to her question?
S: She never gave me the chance to reply. She came, said what she wanted, and literally left the city. Isn't it infuriating? How would you feel?
Om: I guess so. She'll be back in a week, you'll get your turn then. Speak your mind, talk, sort it out
S: You don't understand the gravity of the situation Om. She said we should break up if I don't want the same things. How is this fair?
Om: And what do you want, Shivaay? Do you want the same things for your future? Why didn't you stop her before she left?
S: I had to take care of a few things before I met her. And by the time I reached the airport, she had left
He showed him a box
S: I ordered this for her, it was supposed to be a surprise. That day when she left, I went to get this but unfortunately, it wasn't ready yet. I waited there with the workers until it was ready and because of that I couldn't reach the airport on time
Om: I don't know how to react to this, Shivaay. I guess we'll just have to wait for her to be back
S: One of the worst weeks of my life
End of flashback
A: Shivaay, where are you taking me?
S: Why didn't you answer your phone?
A: Shivaay, what are you doing here?
They stopped in front of his car
S: No, I'll talk and you'll listen now. How can you do this to me? You spoke non-stop that day, told me what you wanted but you didn't give me a chance to speak and left me there. And on top of that, you didn't even answer my calls.
A: Shivaay I...
He placed his finger on her lips
S: I said I'll do the talking now. Get inside
He placed her bags in the boot and got in.
A: Shivaay, what is all this?
S: Did I say I was done? Did I tell you if you're allowed to speak or not?
A: At least drive slowly
Shivaay drove as fast as he could, legally. They reached outside the Oberoi mansion. He got out and took her to his room, locking the door behind him
A: You're scaring me
S: The way you scared me this whole week. Do you have any idea what I've been through this whole week? I was so worried about you. No calls, no messages, not even a text to tell me you've reached safely. You listen to me now very clearly, woman. I'm not letting you go. We are never, ever, ever separating. And for god sake please stop pushing me away every time you think I don't feel the same way. You pushed me away after Sanket fooled us all and you're doing the same now. We are partners, Annika. We need to communicate better, we can't give each other ultimatums under a gunpoint like this.
A: I'm sorry I pushed you Shivaay, I never should have put you in such a tight spot. If it's between getting married and being with you then I choose you, I'll always choose you. I'm really sorry. I don't want anything, I don't care about marriage or anything. I just want you.
He held her hands in his and interlocked their fingers
S: I want a beautiful life with you, marriage, kids, grandkids the whole thing. I want to grow old with you. I want to wake up every morning and look at your face.
She had tears welled up in her eyes.
S: Do you like the ring?
A: What?
S: Look at your hand
While interlocking their hands, Shivaay had slid a diamond ring on her finger. Annika stared at her finger with tears in her eyes.
A: When did you...
S: I was going to give this to you a week ago. I had my answers, Annika, ever since you first mentioned marriage. I know I laughed that day but seeing you hurt got me thinking about it. And I know I've made it very clear in the past that I was never going to marry but I also never planned on falling in love, yet here we are. And I can't lose you because of my issues. I've changed and I'm still changing. You're the best thing to ever happen to me. I know we'll make it work. I know we're not my parents. I don't want my past to affect my future. I love you and I want to make this work. I have faith in us. So, yes, I will marry you, whenever and wherever you want
A: Shivaay, you don't have to do this for me. Are you sure you want this for yourself?
S: Yes, I have never been more sure
She pulled him in for a kiss, and they poured their love into that kiss, trying to express how happy and loved they felt. Words could not describe how happy they were together.
Pulling apart, Shivaay cupped her face
S: And If you ever, ever, even once pull such crap again with me, I swear I'll show so much tadi that you won't be able to handle it. No. no, scratch that, I will take my bagadbilla avtar and then you'll face my wrath.
Annika patted his shoulder
A: What's this language, Shivaay?
S: Oi, no comments on the language, okay. My soon to be wife taught me these
A: Your soon to be wife, she sounds like a weirdo
S: Well, she's my weirdo
A: But on a serious note, Shivaay, I'm really sorry for what I did. I promise I'll communicate better now.
