(I) Chapter 1 - Lost Stars

[Takeji's POV]

"What the hell are you doing here!?" She protested.

"Same goes for you! I was here first by the way..."

"I don't care!"

"Well, I can't leave. So, you can either go now or continue with your rant..."

"I can't leave either..." She replied.

It looks like she realized that I won't leave so she stayed and leaned on the board. There was nothing but silence that surrounded the dimly lit classroom. I can't stand it so I had to start a conversation.

"Let me guess... You're waiting for someone?"

"What's it to you?"

"Well, I was tired of seeing you staring to nothing while blocking the well-designed board behind you..."

"Tss...! You don't run out of things to say, don't you?"

"Look who's talking..." I uttered.

"I heard that!"

"I wasn't trying to hide it!"

"How about you? You're waiting for someone? Or you just like sulking in a corner?"

"Now you want to talk..."

"Grr! Just answer the damn question!"

I sighed "I have you know that I'm waiting for someone tonight. And I'm not someone who just folds himself into a corner"

"Good luck with that. With your attitude, I'm surprise that there's someone who's willing to meet you"

"Oh yeah? And you're doing better yourself?"

"I've changed... A-At least I'm trying to be better... But I don't know if that would be good enough..."

Her angst toned down and her agitated face turned to a dejected one.

"Who are you waiting for anyways?"

"It's someone I like... I was hoping if he would come here..."

"It looks like we're on the same boat..."

"Don't lump me in with you!"

"Oh, come on!? Can you drop that already? Can't we at least have a decent conversation!?"

"Tss..."

"Well, for what it's worth, good luck..."

"Thanks..." I heard a faint reply from her.

"I'm sorry, did you say something?" I teased her.

"No...!?"

"Well... I'm pretty sure I heard something..."

"If you heard it then why ask!?"

"I wasn't sure so I had to ask" I smirked.

"I said thanks! There! You happy now!? Geez! What a pain!"

I can't help but chuckle.

"What!?"

"Nothing. I just thought you sound better when you're sincere. You should be more honest with what you feel you know..."

"Don't tell me how to live my life!"

"I'm not, I'm just saying..."

"Whatever! Where's the person you're waiting for anyways? Isn't it an awful long time for you to be waiting here?"

"She might be busy with finishing up her tasks. I don't want to rush her."

"So, you're gonna confess or what?"
