Breaking point

Chapter 36

Akilina now had a full wardrobe of clothes. Sarah seemed to be happier than Akilina was. They'd came back from their shopping, Sarah had bought lunch for everyone. It was later in the evening now.

Akilina was sitting on the couch. She didn't know how to work the TV so she just sat there. Sarah had gone somewhere Akilina didn't know where. She heard someone coming down the stairs. It was Cameron. He looked at her when he noticed she was on the couch. She looked bored. He was going out but he felt bad just leaving her there. "wanna come with me" he offered. Akilina looked at him for a minute then answered "sure". She jumped off the couch and he held his hand out for her to take, and she did.

The pair walked to an awaiting car outside the house. There were 2 people in the front seat so her and Cameron got in the back. "hey cam" "sup cam, and small child" "Anna, jay this is kaylee. Kaylee, anna and jay." Jay was driving. Anna turned around
"hello kaylee." "hello" "she's a little quiet" Cameron informed " nothing wrong with that ay Kaylee" Jay almost shouts "nope" "dam right there's not." A small smile broke out on her face. This was going to be fun.

"come on Nat, one day." "buck-" "your going to wear yourself out, it's a break. One day" "one day?" "one day" natasha let out a sigh "sure, how bad could it be."

Natasha went shopping, for a walk in the near by park, went to a cafe for lunch. She pretty much had a well needed relaxing day. She was now in her sweats watching a movie. A knock on her door came to her attention. Nat looked through the peep whole carefully seeing bucky she smirked and opened the door. Nat noticed he was wearing more formal clothes. In her opinion he looked hot. Hotter than the usual. "bucky" she acknowledged. "natasha" he slightly mocked. "what's up?" she asked as he walked into her temporary apartment. "I was wondering" bucky stopped and one of his arms was at the back of his head. He was worried. "if you wanted to go out to dinner?" "like a date?" "yeah, yeah like a date." "yeah sure now?" "yep" "give me 30 minutes. You can stay here if you want."

When Nat came back in to the room bucky was staring at the TV confusion written all over his features. It was adorable. Bucky heard her walk somewhere behind him. He turned around and is jaw dropped. She looked gorgeous. Her hair was curled, she was wearing a black tight fitting formal dress and heals to match. Very little makeup though she didn't need any. "your going to catch flies if you keep looking at me like that." natasha mused. "you look gorgeous."
"thank you" "though I did like the sweats." "I know. Much more comfortable too."

"you ready to go?" "yeah, let's do this."

Akilina sat in a comfy "bean bag" chair in what seemed to be an open log cabin. Fairy lights adorned the walls. A TV with what cam said had video games on it. Which him and jay were currently playing. The place as anna had described was their "hang out" . Akilina liked it. The atmosphere around the place had a very homey feel towards it, and Akilina was starting to like the idea of a home.

She'd been trying to figure out what a home actually meant. Akilina figured it was somewhere you felt safe. Where you lived unafraid of being hurt or judged. Where you could relax and stop looking over you shoulder even for just two minutes. It's where your family is, though Akilina didn't have her opinion on what a family was just yet. She was still learning. Learning what a family was and what it meant to her and the idea of actually having an opinion. It was all a bit new to her, free will. Though she wasn't free not really. But now that she had her own feelings and opinions she didn't much want to lose them. I don't think hydra had this in mind when they sent her here. It gave her something to latch onto, something to hold onto, something to fight for.

"here" a voice snapped Akilina out of her  thoughts. "you looked deep in thought. Wanna talk about it" Anna offered taking a seat beside her. Akilina shook her head no. Anna had given her a small book and loads of different coloured markers. When Akilina opened the book it had pictures outlined on every page. "you colour it in the the markers." Anna informed after seeing the slight confusion on her face. Akilina nodded in acknowledgement showing she understands what Anna was saying. Akilina opened the second and third page of the book and put it in the middle if both of them, she moved the colours into the middle too. Akilina looked at Anna "you wanna" and then jestured towards the book. "colour with you?" Anna finished. "yeah" "I'd love to" each girl started colouring their pictures.

Akilina tried very hard but she'd never done anything like this before so hers was a little messy compared to Anna's but she liked it. Jay was dropping everyone home. She and can had to be home before shawn apparently. Why Akilina had no clue. She usually didn't.

But all in all today was a good first day. She slightly with the little amount she had left hoped she'd get more days like this one.
