Any minute now, I'll drop down dead. I don't know how long I had been in the car driving me to my doom, but my heart had been racing the entire time. Surely there's a point when it gets too tired and just stops.

Maybe it would be a kinder fate than dying at the hands of a cruel billionaire who could do anything to me. He had power and power like that was dangerous. I'm sure he had his contacts. Perhaps he was invincible in the eyes of the law.

Suddenly the car came to a halt and I felt my blood run cold as I looked to see us parked in a dark and gloomy underground car park.

"Come along Miss Harrington" a deep voice echoed out in the eerie silence and my brain only registered it belonged to Mr Cappello as he stood beside my now opened door.

"I don't wanna" I mumbled out completely frightened at what was going to happen to me.

Keeping my eyes fixed straight ahead of me, I let out a shrill scream as a tight grip wrapped around my upper arm.

"Th-this is illegal, let go of me" I cried out as he pulled me out of his car like a was a feather.

The look on his face was completely blank, emotionless and terrifying.

As I attempted to hit his hand that was still locked around my arm, I looked around to see him dragging me towards a lift in the furthest corner.

"Stop! Please, I didn't do anything" I sobbed as he was unaffected by everything.

Watching him enter a key into the panel at the side of the lift, my struggle started to turn frantic as the door opened to reveal an extremely rich looking interior.

He shoved me into the lift and stepped in after me.

Staring at his large back as he entered the same key into the lock, I seized the opportunity to run as the doors started to close.

But nothing could get past him.

He blocked my way and pushed me back.

Crumbling to the floor in fear of his intense stare, I cried into my hands as the lift started to move up. The luxury lift that would take me to my doom.

Mr Cappello only stared down at me. His face was a mix of anger, frustration and hurt?

Shaking in uncontrollable fear, I turned my whole body round so he didn't have the satisfaction of looking at my tears.

And to my surprise, the cruel dominant man didn't attempt to turn me back around. And even though I was now staring at the beautiful shiny marble on the floor, I could still feel Mr bastard's eyes on me.

The lift came to a sudden halt with a loud ding signalling that we had reached the floor my body would forever be stuck on.

The body in the penthouse.

That would be an intriguing title for a book.

Mentally cursing myself for my stupid thoughts, I crossed my arms across my chest and kept looking at the floor even though the doors had opened.

"Come along" he ordered with no tolerance for defiance.

But even though I was frightened to the max, I wanted to give him hell moments before my ultimate demise.

Remaining silent, I lifted my head and stared at the black marble completely ignoring his commands.

"Miss Harrington, I don't like waiting" he muttered out with an even more stern tone.

"And I like naps. I think I'll have one right now" I smirked to myself as I laid myself down on the floor.

After living on the streets for a short time, I had gained the ability to fall asleep literally anywhere. Comfort didn't matter when you simply had to survive the night.
