I read about mirror sites on Wattpad last week and when I looked my pen name Yuchae Moon up online, I found one of my Wattpad books on an unknown website. When I tried to download the PDF file, it prompted me to sign up to another website and after I did it they asked for my credit/debit card for membership.

I had no idea about this website and I kind of want to delete my writings on Wattpad. I know I'm not famous or got numerous readers but the thought that someone might steal my writings (no matter how crappy they are) is scary. I already knew the risk of posting them online beforehand but I trusted Wattpad since it doesn't have the copy and paste prompt so I thought my writings are safe. However, knowing about these mirror sites made me doubt the credibility of a site. This ldelibro.com got hundreds of books from Wattpad (not sure if some of them are from different sites).

Again, I'm not a famous writer and my writings are crappy and nonsensical but think about those professional ones who published their books on Wattpad (or any other writing platforms). What would they feel if they find out someone has stolen their books and worst sell their books without them knowing.

I'm still ignorant about these mirror sites and how they operate so please educate me.
