While I was fishing yesterday, I noticed two dragonflies stuck together on the fishing bobber (that floating round thing there) whenever I railed the line in slowly. (I don't have a photo nor a video cos I can't rail and film at the same time. 😄)

The first thing that I thought was they were mating (in public 😂). It's actually my first time to see dragonflies stuck to each other. I wish I had a photo of them but I didn't want to disturb them. 😁 I was curious how could they not stay in one place and kept on flying while mating. Ahahaha! So, I looked it up online and this was what I found. "Have you noticed dragonfly pairs flying about connected tail-to-head? The common explanation is that the dragonflies are mating. This is not true, but it is a behavior related to mating. When dragonflies are ready to mate, males have to prepare for the magic moment via a process called self insemination."

Perhaps, they weren't mating yet as they still flew but they were just preparing for it. Hmmmm, interesting!
