*Raquel's POV*

The following day, Peter (A) and I are at the city's grand library, accessed to a research room filled with lab equipment, piles of papers on desks, and books stacked in shelves against every corner of the walls.

He sits across from me as I skim over a research article regarding a study on the multiverse theory. As I read over, I couldn't help but think about last night; how caring he was when I had a bad dream. I couldn't help but feel a sense of safety and warmth each time I'm around him. This morning I woke up turning on the TV to an infomercial and he simply sat on the couch next to me, and watched it. We exchanged salutations but then fell comfortably silent next to each other.

The silence wasn't as awkward as it should have been. It felt like we've known each other so long, that the comfort of the silence relaxed us.

Our silence broke when the news came on regarding a local bank robbery. He apologized and before I could say anything back, he vanished within the blink of an eye.

As I showered and changed into new clothes, I couldn't help but wonder if life would have been like this with my Peter (T), back home. If he could have told me he was Spider-Man before his multiverse travels with MJ. The random apologies of him leaving in the middle of some of our dates would have made it a bit different I guess.

I miss him.

Peter (T).

MY Peter.

But at the end of every thought of him, turned into resentment. Leading to the question of, 'Why did he grab MJ's hand, over mine?'

With no explanation from him yet, as I don't know where he is, in the meantime, I am dreading in pain from the betrayal.

Peter (A) came back straight to the living room after handling the robbery.  I got ready, and he came with donuts and coffee, realizing I hadn't had breakfast as Aunt May went to work early, and stated she would do more grocery shopping in the evening.

I'm not a big fan of donuts, but I couldn't deny how sweet his gesture was. I ate a few with him on the kitchen table, talking about the robbery he just handled, and how he found something close to achieving multiverse traveling without magic.

So here we are, in the library research room, staring at the research article, but yet unable to keep my eyes off of his passion on what he was reading.

Why...am I looking at him?

Like really looking at him?

He looks back at me and I quickly lose eye contact and continue reading.

"It's good yeah?" He asks softly.

"Yeah." I nod nervously, still focusing on the article instead.

"So, I think," He sighs and puts his book down, rubbing his eyes from exhaustion. "We need a super genius scientist to build this thing."

I look back at him now with a stern expression, trying to show him that he has no apparent affect on me.

"I can build it." He says confidently, disregarding the way I displayed my reaction.

He can what?

"You can build a portal?" I raise an eyebrow, he appears slightly insulted by my doubtful tone.

"I just need the right tools and resources," He changes his mood with excitement. "And I can obtain them through Oscorp. I'm able to gain access after I handled my old friend who turned into a super villain and new management came. Well technically, Peter Parker is able to gain access because they didn't want to uh...argue with Spider-Man."
