Now that they had finally boarded the plane, Bakugo, out of spite for what happened at the airport, sat alone. In first class of course since his parents paid for him, they had also paid for another round-trip ticket so Bakugo could bring a friend but he wouldn't be using it (yet).
But to his surprise, none of his friends asked him why he didn't tell them where he was sitting. They just...walked away.
Even more perplexed than earlier, Bakugo decided to just ignore this behavior change and focus on his own issues. The main one being, he wanted a snack.
Calling over a flight attendant he noted her slight French accent.
"Hello Monsieur, what can I get for you?" She said, hands clasped together.
"Um, whats a croque monsieur? And how is it different from a croque Madame?" He asked, not knowing if he even pronounced the words correctly.
"Ah oui, certainly monsieur! You see, a croque monsieur is a ham and cheese sandwich that is dipped in beaten eggs, French-toast style! Whilst a croque Madame just has egg on top along with ham and cheese. Does that make sense?" The lady explained, her voice sounding a lot more confident as she pronounced the dish names.
"Oh um in that case I'll have a croque Madame, please and thank you." Bakugo replied, handing the menu back to the attendant. Juliette, he saw her name tag, nodded and rushed to the front of the cabin to retrieve the meal.
Katsuki sighed, and leaned back in his seat, admiring the star-ridden sky.
It took a few moments before he got his food but he hadn't noticed, he spaced out.
"Et voilà! Bon appétit monsieur!" Said Juliette, walking away. (And there! Enjoy your meal sir!)
Bakugo watched as she walked away, going to help another passenger. He then redirected his attention to the food he was served. He had to admit, the French knew what they were doing.
He ate in silence, the only sound was the intercom announcing there would be slight turbulence.
After eating he decided to take a nap, and he hoped his friends would come wake him if he overslept.
Oh how wrong he was.
When Bakugo woke up, the plane was practically empty besides a few remaining passengers making their way out the door.
He rushed to grab his backpack—the only carryon he had—and ran out the door, startling a few flight attendants.
He ran across the airport trying to locate a large group of extras. Deciding that checking the baggage area was a safe bet he made his way there.
Finally, he spotted familiar red spiky hair, as well as a tired looking yellow caterpillar.
Katsuki ran up to them, and they turned around after hearing sudden rushed footsteps coming their way.
"Bakugo. Where were you?" Said Aizawa, already regretting making this trip.
"I was asleep in the plane! I thought the gang of idiots would wake me but I guess I was wrong" he said, glaring at Kirishima, who, surprisingly, glared back.
"I don't care who's fault it was. Just hurry up."
The boys followed their sensei, not exchanging any words.
[Fun Fact about France™️: Croque Madame/Monsieur literally translates to 'Bite Ma'am/Sir']
