Shoto's plan proved to be effective. They made it out of the forest unscathed and mentally stable.

Rei picked them up not long after and brought them home.

"Boys. Next time be more careful! Shoto you just recovered from a concussion, you shouldn't be doing risky things like this!" She scolded. They had their heads down.

"Sorry mom."

"Sorry Rei."

She sighed. What was she going to do with them?

"It's alright. But especially you Katsuki, your mother put her trust in me and if she finds out you were hurt or worse under my care, how do you think she'd feel?"

"I understand, we'll be more careful next time."

"Good. Now, since I'm sure you're tired. I made dinner. Tomorrow we'll be going to an ice skating rink with a friend of mine and her two daughters. Will that be alright?" Rei asked, standing up from the table.

"Yeah sounds good."

"Okay."

She smiled, and went to bring the plates.

"Are you any good at ice skating Bakugo?" Shoto asked.

"You bet! I'm the best in my class."

"Impressive. I think I'm better than you though. You know, having an ice quirk and all."

"Shut your trap Halfie. I'm better than you and I'll prove it!"

"Mhm whatever you say Blondie."

Rei returned with two plates of food.

"Enjoy!" She said, walking back into the kitchen to wash the dishes.

"So what should we do later? Watch another movie?"

"Nah that's boring. We should play something. Like truth or dare, or never have I ever." Bakugo suggested.

"Alright sure, could be fun."

"Knew you'd say that."

Kazumi rolled his eyes.

"Of course you did."

Now they were sitting on Katsuki's bed, playing truth or dare.

"Truth or dare Icy."

"Dare."

"I dare you...to stick your head out the window and declare your sexuality to the entire neighborhood. In Japanese of course." Bakugo said.

Shoto laughed. He got up opened the window and yelled out into the abyss,

"I'M GAY!"

Then quickly closed the window and sat back down, where he was awaited by a laughing Bakugo.

"That was fucking amazing, also, you're gay?" He asked.

"Yep."

"Cool. I'm pan."

"Nice to met you pan, I'm Shoto."

"Absolutely not. Take that back right now"

"Never."

Kazumi was the one laughing now.

"Ok ok my turn to ask. Bakugo, truth or dare."

"Truth." He replied uncharacteristically.

"Um...oh! How did you find out Kara was cheating on you?"

"Walked in on her and the fucker making out IN MY DORM!"

(A/N: Let's pretend they have dorms in middle school🫶)

"Oh wow. Yeah no she sucks, you dodged a bullet by walking in on them." Shoto says, wide eyed at the confession.

"Can't say I disagree. I wonder, if I hadn't gone down to my dorm that day I probably wouldn't have found it! Ironically enough, I only went there because they had the news playing in the common room and I was sick of it."

"What was the news?"

"I forget...something about your dad."

"Wait. Did this happen in April 2018?"

"Uh yeah I think so, why?"

"Oh my god that's the month the trial took place!"

Bakugo's jaw dropped.

"No way."

"You were probably watching the trial on the news!"

"Wait so then..."

"I was the indirect cause of your break up." Shoto said, face blank.

They stared at each other for a while, then burst out laughing.

"That's actually amazing."

"Who would've thought? That's an incredible coincidence."

They played for another 45 minutes before deciding to head to sleep, after all tomorrow was a big day. One they won't soon forget.
