"Winter,"
"What do you want now Chenle?" Winter hugfed, turning to face Chenle as she heaved a heavy pot. "I'm in the middle of something.
"I can tell." Chenle sat on a stool near the door that led to the kitchen. They both in the employee lounge wgere Winter was busy keeping the unused pots. "So, Karina?"
"Katerina." Winter corrected. She did not know why the girl was there nor does she plan on knowing. She had better things to do such as doing her assignments. "And what about her?"
Chenle gave her an exasperated look. "She's literally waiting for you."
"And that is my problem because?"
"Because it would be rude if you kept her waiting." Chenle deadpanned. Honestly, he already dealt with an egoistic ghosting prick and a woman who can't move on with her ex and is willing to travel different states with the said ex. It's a mouthful but that was true. "I'm done."
"Good." Winter found no reason to go to Katerina nor for Chenle to push her toward Katerina. She's not looking for something to add for her heavy burden.
"Your co-worker said you don't want to entertain me."
"I'm not a clown." Winter huffed, placing the heavy pot on the small round table at the center.of the room. She turned around, placed her folded lef arm on the pot's lid and placed her right hand pn her hip. "Go find someone else to entertain."
"But I can't find any."
"Not my problem." Winter spat, eyes narrowing at Katerina. "Look Karenina—"
"Karina," the girl corrected. "It's Karenin, not Katerina."
"I..." Winter felt her cheeks burn. Now that was embarassing. All this time she's been calling her the wrong name. "You what, never mind. Look, I have plenty things to do."
"Even after your shift?" Karina asked, looking at Winter expectantly. She also had pleading eyes, which she knew no one could resist other than her manager.
"Yes," Winter jutted her bottom lip. "I have plenty of things to do and how do I know you aren't some member of a gang?"
Karina snorted in disbelief. She was, somehow part of a gang but Winter does not need to know. "But I'm not, please? Promise! I'll leave you alone after this."
"And how do I know you aren't bluffing?" Winter has had her fair share of scammers. A specific name was Yeji.
"Do this face look like it's bluffing?" Karina used her palm to gesture at her gorgeous (Winter won't deny it because she was not blind) face.
"Unfortunately yes." Winter deadpanned.
Karina whined stomping her feet on the tiled floor. Who knew Jaemin's staff members were this stubborn. Honestly, she thought they take after him, gullible and easy to please. Then again, that only came with Jeno.
Winter raised a brow at Karina’s antics. She expected the girl to be someone with class, not a toddler in a teenages girl's body. She already expected a meltdown.
"Look," she started, grabbing back Karina’s attention. "I really can't today—night or something, okay? I have assugnments due the next day."
"Oh, what's you school?" Karina asked, eyes shining with curiosity.
How was Winter supposed to explain that? She can't just say that she's cosplaying as a guy because she was dumb enough to register on the boys high.
