CHAPTER FIFTY - TOWERING PURCHASE

 

The refreshing sea breeze tousled blood red hair gently. The moonlight shone down as if it's a spotlight and gave pale white skin a beautiful silvery glow making the scene look ethereal to anyone looking.

Unfortunately, there is no one present to witness the sight as everyone is below deck doing their own things.

Letting out a relaxed sigh, Cale leaned on the rails of the ship they are currently riding.

Their destination is to the south, towards Whipper Kingdom.

He isn't sure of their purpose but he is sure of one thing. It will somehow bring benefits to his baby brother.

Cale is amazed at how his brother seems to have a hobby of collecting money and precious things aside from sleeping and reading. And he can support all hobbies one way or another.

The magic bags his brother has just seemed to be increasing slowly from time to time.

Cale eventually got used to it even when he doesn't want to.

It had already been fourteen years since his return through time and he still feel like it is unreal sometimes.

He sometimes thinks to himself that all of these are just elaborated hallucination created by his desperate mind. He will be scared that anytime now, he will wake up to his nightmare-like reality.

That once he truly opens his eyes, he will look around and find himself all alone once again.

But each time, someone would be there for him, reminding him that he is not alone anymore.

"Weird human."

He felt a weight on his right shoulder as the baby dragon perched himself there. He is not invisible nor is he in his kitten form. No one will see them because it is already late into the night.

"Why aren't you sleeping yet?"

"I should be the one asking that. Why aren't you asleep yet? Little kids should sleep early."

Cale rubbed the little round head of the dragon making him giggle.

"I was! But I felt your presence here."
