I came back normal but it really hurt. I quickly thank them and start to run deep into the forest. All I heard was them yelling my name as I got deeper in the forest. I quickly climbed a tree and that's my home for the rest of my life. I sign as 3 hours go by and the pain gets worse. I hear noises behind me as a spider pops out on my arm.
I freak out and as I fall I hear a scream. I open my eyes to see myself laying on Cooper. I accidentally fell on him.
" Oh so sorry, what is it with us where I always fall and you always somehow save me bruh"
I say giggling and swiping away my tears. I get off as he slowly sits up, he sees me and gives me a big hug
"Omg omg omg I thought we lost you forever" He says hugging me tighter, he lets go as I see the marks on his neck when I strangle him.
I let go and started to cry.
" Look joy, you're not a monster. You did that because you were mad.. What were you even mad about?" He asks me, I explain. He also explains, I gasp as I hear what he said, I tell him to go back to the castle as I go to the cottage. He starts to run and so do I.
After a good 12 minutes of running I finally arrived at the cottage. I sneak in as Ery and my aunt are gone somewhere. I snoop around and head towards Ery's room even though he didn't allow me. I open the door to this beautiful room, I snoop around. I opened the wardrobes, doors, and lifted the bed but I found nothing. I go near the library and grab a book. I feel anger come through my blood and I throw a book to the wall, it makes an echo noise as It hit the ground. I realize that the floor board is echoing which isn't normal. I quickly run towards the book as I sit down beside the plank. I try my best to lift the plank but nothing works. I'm getting weaker. I force myself out of my human form into my butterfly form.
I'm in pain as I feel more ashes fall to the ground. I use all my strength to lift the boards up as I shed tears in pain. As the plank finally lifts I fall to the ground, I go back to my human form as I slowly shake in pain. I open my eyes to see the planks are opened with a small tunnel. I get up to get some bandages to wrap my whole waist, as I do so I start to hear talking coming near the cottage. I quickly close the door and run towards the plank. Quickly jump in and pull the plank over my head. I stay quiet as I hear footsteps enter the room.
"Someone was in here.. I can feel it. Huh, how weird, why is the book on the ground.." Says a girl's voice as she walks in over the plank to grab the book.
As she bends over the plank as I feel her breathing over me I grab my mouth to hope not to make a noise. I don't blink, breathe or move a muscle till she leaves. She gets up and slowly walks away, and as she does I take my hand off my mouth. I turn my ass around to see this tunnel. I take a deep breath and slowly crawl through. As I crawl through the tunnel I realize how far deep I was.. (that's what she said) There was no turning back.
As I crawl for another 5 minutes I finally see the light. As I crawl out I see this massive cavern filled with files and pictures of me.. It was filled with pictures of my castle, all the little crooks and crannies, with info about the curse.. Whoever's place this is they're stalking me and my life.. I start to freak out as I move my body around, I quickly run towards the files and I find this book, it was written by an unknown author.. I opened it to see nothing, which was very unusual. I hear noises as I close the book, I try to activate my powers and I turn invisible. I look up to see this girl with a beautiful black outfit, her hair is in a ponytail. She had a mask and eye cover on, as she enters the cavern she snoops around trying to find something, she hits the ground and sneaks back out. I follow her.
As we made it to the exit she closed the plank, I waited a couple minutes for her to leave until I opened it. I go back visible, and I lift the plank coming out of the tunnel. I climb out and place the book on the floor and I put the plank back to normal. I Grab the book and place it in my hoodie. I leave the cottage and head towards the castle. Once I arrive I get greeted by Cooper but I walk past him and run straight to my room, Closing the door I place the book on my bed. I open the book and sit on my bed staring at it hoping for something to show. But nothing. I nearly give up until someone slides a letter under my door, I walk up to it, picking it up and seeing a picture of Luke's neck with the words monster. I felt fury and as I went into my butterfly form in pure blood red, I saw a bright yellow light behind me. I turned around to see the book glowing in pure yellow. I calm down and go towards the book slowly turning into my human form. I put my hand on the book as it has a yellow sun shape on the cover.
I open it to see the butterfly family symbols. As I scroll down to my name a new symbol appears. It was a star-shaped one in purple. I gasp knowing that there's a new butterfly. I close the book and run out of my room to Coral's bedroom.
" YOU'RE PREGNANT ?! " I yell while crying.
" HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW YOU PIECE OF SHIT YOU RUINED THE SURPRISE.." She says walking towards me. I hug her as I cry
" Who is it with btw?" I ask, holding her hand,
" I don't know " she says
" SLUTTTTTTT" I answer, rolling my eyes, she nudges me and asks me to keep it a secret.
I agree and head back to my room. I close the door and as I enter and I walk towards the book, I put my hand on the book as It activates again, I scroll past the family names and I enter to see every princess's chapters with different powers and their special chapter. I scroll through to see my chapter empty, I grab a pen and I start to write.
" My name is Joy Budski and I am the gold butterfly. " I say but it instantly declined
I'm shocked by what happened and I instantly close the book. I grab the book and hide it under my bed, I hear this noise out my window and I see this figure run from my window. I ran up to it but it was gone.. But they left a note. I opened the note to see pictures of me since I was a kid with a note at the bottom saying.
" I'm always watching.. This is a fake reality.. Explore out." I freak out and throw the note out my window.
I ran to my bed and as I thought more of it.. I instantly thought of Ery. I grabbed my stuff and ran out to the cottage, I fell down the hole and ran to his door. I knocked intensely till he opened it, as he opened the door he instantly pulled me in and threw me on the wall.
" WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE, YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS IT IS AT NIGHT IN THIS FOREST" I deny it but he walks closer, he closes his eyes and pulls me in to kiss. I freak out and push him off.
" WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! " I get angry
" I'm so sorry.. I don't know what's happening to me.."I roll my eyes and forgive him.
He sits me down and asks me what I'm doing so late.
" I got this letter with photos of me since I was at least 3, and there was a note saying "I'm always watching, this is a fake reality.. Explore out" He gasps and stands up.
" You weren't supposed to get that letter yet. I know what the letter is for but I don't know who gave it to you. " he says I run back to the castle until I bump into Luke. We both fall.
" Oh my god Luke!! " I say running to him, giving him a hug.
" It's been so long.. " I say helping him up.
" You can't be here right now.. I-I need to go.. Wait, she's coming.. HIDE" He says pushing me behind a tree.
I see this girl walk towards him, I never saw her before.
" Hello Luke, do you have the goods.. " she asks, pulling him in for a kiss.
I gasp but I put my hands over my mouth to hopefully not make noise.
" Yes I do." He says pulling out this beautiful flower, it was nightwing flowers, the most dangerous flower ever.. But we don't grow those flowers in this village.. How did he get it.. I ask myself.
" Nightwing flowers.. The beautiful midnight colour in its petals signifies death and the beautiful white dots meaning stars can kill someone instantly.. Thank you, Luke." She says kissing his cheek,
" What about my end of the trade, " he says, grabbing her hand.
" Here." she says giving this jar filled with purple dust. I wasn't able to spot what it was.
She walks away and he walks towards me, I quickly run before he realizes I listened to the whole convo hoping I wasn't there. I run like the wind till I bump into this mysterious guy I never saw before. He grabbed me before I fell.
"You're welcome my majesty.. It's late, you should go. " As I close my eyes he's gone.
I thought I was hallucinating because of the big day I had. I ran to the front steps of the castle about to open the door till I saw another letter on the door.
" Do you ever wonder how your village already has people and no one enters and leaves except Luke." The more I thought of it, they weren't wrong. I got so confused but I decided to ignore my thoughts and just go to bed..
