Chapter 17

Once the curtain is closed, Brian and Noah come to get her from the piano. Axel comes running and hugging his twin sister as they both continue crying in each other's embrace.

"Why does it hurt? Why does this hurt me much? It's painful, Axe. I can't do this anymore" Alexa continued sobbing in her brother chest

"I know, I know Lex. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry for giving you hope Lex. It's my fault, and I'm fucking sorry for this. I'm sorry for hurting you Lex. I'm so fucking sorry" Axel said whispering, crying along with Alexa, apologizing to her over and over again.

Kimmy, Lizzie, Downey, Susan and Chris were standing there with tears watching the twins break down. Kimmy goes in front of Alexa

"Hey, you both are strong. You have gone through much more than this. You can go through this. We're in this together Lex. I promise you, I'll always be there for you both" Kimmy stated

"I really wanted to believe that but I can't believe anyone anymore. I've been hurt by one person that I trust the most in my life, by the person I was hoping to love me back in my whole life" Alexa sobbed

"Alexa, don't do this. You can go through this Alexa. Please, I can't lose you. You have to keep fighting Alexa. For me. please" Axel said, begging through his tears. He knows Alexa is giving up on her life already.

Chris goes kneeling in front of his kids.

"Hey, I'm here. I'm here for both of you, I'm not going anywhere and I won't go anywhere without you guys. I already made that mistake once and I won't do it ever again. I love you and I love you Axel. You both are my kids and I won't let anything ever hurting you guys ever again. I promise and I swear on my life" Chris stated with his own tears hugging both of them

"I tried hating her but it didn't work. I can't hate her because I love her so fucking much daddy and it hurts me" Alexa exclaimed still crying

It hurts hearing Alexa calling Chris daddy like that. How painful that was the way she called him that.

"I think it's better if you brought them home. They are free to go home and rest. They both deserved to be resting. I'll come by after these comps is done" Anna said shakily

"I don't want to go back to her home! I don't wanna see her anymore. I can't. Please daddy no. I don't wanna, I wanna stay with you. Please, if you can't, just send me back to my apartment" Alexa said begging

"Hey, you're gonna stay with me baby. You're both gonna stay with me okay? I won't let you both stay on your own anymore. You have me in your life. I'll take care of you both forever starting from now on" Chris said assuring both his kids.

Alexa and Axel just nodded their heads and cried in relief. They are not ready to face Scarlett for the time being. Axel can't because he can't control his anger and he's scared he'll hurt his mother's feelings.

Chris brought them home to his home. Which is not too far from Scarlett place. Alexa immediately gets upstairs to her room and locks herself in the room. Axel tried to get her to open the door but Alexa didn't budge.

Axel just sits there waiting at the door in case Alexa needs him while crying silently. It pains everyone to see the twins breaking down like this. Lizzie can't watch them like this anymore and she knows if Scarlett didn't come now, the twins will be completely out of her life and Lizzie knows this will break Scarlett too. She knows Scarlett loves the twins especially Alexa because she's been a mama's girl since she's a baby. Rose has always been daddy's girl.

Lizzie get out of the house to call Scarlett

"Liz?" Scarlett said once she answered the phone

"Where are you right now?" Lizzie asks her voice cracking and Scarlett grew concern and worried hearing that
