More Than Words

Chapter 5

         With Hyewon silently looking at Eunbi's friends, Wonyoung decided to break the slightly awkward silence.

         "So you must be the new girl the students have been talking about...",Wonyoung started off. "Let us introduce ourselves first.", Wonyoung said.

"Well thi-"

          "I'm Ahn Yujin, 21, this is Jang Wonyoung, 20, Hitomi-unnie, 22...and that girl over there... I know she may not look like it but she's 22.Her name is Nako-unnie.", Yujin interrupted Wonyoung, then introduced them and gesturing them one by one.

          She suddenly felt a smack on her head and she turned to the culprit only to see a frowning Wonyoung. "When are you going to stop doing that to Nako-unnie?", Wonyoung glared at Yujin. "And also, don't interrupt me when I'm talking", Wonyoung continued, still looking intently at her childhood friend.

        Nako and Hitomi tries their best to hide their laughter looking at the two. Hyewon just silently watches them, amused at their dynamics as a group of friends.

        Yujin cowered down and said a small 'sorry' before showing Wonyoung her best puppy eyes. Wonyoung sees Yujin's face and cleared her throat before looking away. "Just don't do that again... That's rude..", Wonyoung said. "What's rude Wonyoung? The fact that she interrupted you or her suddenly attacking you with her cute puppy eyes? Tell me what's rude?", Wonyoung's mind teased her. Her self-teasing was interrupted when she heard Yujin. "Yes, Certainly Ms. Jang!", Yujin exclaimed while saluting to her friend, all while smiling widely at her, her deep dimples in full display. "You dumb dog...", Wonyoung said with a slight grin. This caused the two japanese to elicit a laugh. Hyewon just smiling at them, watching.

         "Hey guys sorry I took so long... The line was so long...", Minju said to them, slowly approaching their table. She then noticed a new face sitting at the table already looking at her. Their eyes met and Minju, not knowing what to do, just awkwardly waved at her. Hyewon waved back, smiling softly.

        "Oh! Hyewon-unnie, this is Kim Minju... 22 years old... Vice-President of the Student Council...", Wonyoung calmly introduced the Vice-Precident. "And Minju-unnie this is Kang Hyewon... 23 years old... One of the transferees..", Wonyoung continued, earning a nod from Minju. Minju sat on the seat infront of Nako, placing her food down on the table.

         "Oh are you the one that crashed into Eunbi-unnie at the lockers earlier?", Minju asked Hyewon which Hyewon only nodded as a response. "Wait how did you know that Minju?", Nako asked her curiously.

         "Well the students on the hallway while I was walking towards the cafeteria said that they saw a new student earlier at the lockers and said that she was pretty. They also said that the girl ran straight into Prez and bumped into her.", Minju explained, looking at Nako.

         "But I gotta say... They weren't lying when they said that you were pretty...", Minju said as she turned to look at Hyewon, who then slightly bowed as gratitude.

         "Hey Guys! I'm back! Oh Minju you're here...", Eunbi said as she walks closer to them. "Of course I am unnie", Minju replied.

         "What are you guys talking about?", Eunbi asked them while taking a seat beside Hyewon, placing both their food on the table. Hyewon just stared at the food not minding the others.

          "Oh we were just talking about Hyewon-ssi", Minju said and pointed at Hyewon, who was still staring at the food. Eunbi then took a glance at Hyewon before turning her eyes back to Minju.

          "What about Hyewon?", Eunbi confusedly asked the latter. "Oh she was just saying that you and Hyewon-unnie had one of those K-drama like scenes..",Yujin nonchalantly said which raised Eunbi's confusion more.
