14 - Scandal With The Wrong Guy.

"Korea's leading romance drama actor, Kim Taehyung was seen at a coffee shop last evening, with his new drama co-star, Sana Minatozaki of the idol group Sunshine. The lead couple in the hit romance drama directed by Min Yoongi was seen in a rather cosy setting. Maybe romance is in the air for them, on and off screen both."

Jungkook felt like throwing his phone against a wall but since he was already at the drama set, he calmly put it down on the table. For the last 15 minutes, he could see the small pockets of discussions, most probably gossiping about the same news he just saw. By the looks of it, everyone seemed to have a favorable response to it.

And Jungkook absolutely hated that.

He hated how everyone seemed to think that Taehyung and Sana are a good match. Not to mention the positive publicity it may bring for the drama. But Jungkook didn't care about those that much. This is his boyfriend for crying out loud.

If there were anyone who seemed angrier than Jungkook, it's Taehyung and Sana. Taehyung of course was much better at hiding his emotions and Jungkook actually wondered whether anyone noticed the actor's anger other than him.

Jungkook heard the call Taehyung made to his manager, asking him to fix this mess. Poor Jimin must have been scared shit at that tone. This is not the first time Taehyung's name has been trending due to a scandal but for whatever reason, this got him utterly passed off.

Sana, on the other hand, was visibly upset. Her manager was there with her today and he had been yelling into the phone for the past 5-10 minutes. 

"They both seem rather upset, aren't they?" 

Jungkook snapped his head towards the sound to see Yoongi sitting down on the chair next to him. 

Jungkook had to clear his throat a bit before answering. "Yeah, they do."

"There's a lot of buzz about the drama due to that too." Yoongi said in a nonchalant voice but immediately raised his hand in surrender when Jungkook raised his eyebrows. "Not that I would ever use something like that. I was just stating a fact."

"Well, you can't stop people from talking."

"Hmm.. they sure are trying." Yoongi replied by jutting his head towards Taehyung and Sana. "The article got taken down just now."

"Has it?" 

Jungkook quickly picked up his phone and refreshed the page. And sure enough, the article was not there now. That made him feel a little better.

Jungkook and Yoongi had to wait for about 15 minutes more, till the two leads were done with handling the issues. Yoongi gave Taehyung and Sana both a nod in understanding when they apologised for the delay.

"Let's start, shall we?"

With that, they got back to the drama. Everyone acted professionally but Yoongi could see the nervous glances that both Taehyung and Sana were giving to Jungkook. He couldn't understand why they looked somewhat apologetic also. 

Jungkook of course noticed none of it. He wasn't paying much attention to either of them actually.

This is not the first scandal for Taehyung but this was the first time he was nervous about one. Jungkook and him had a very good understanding between them. Kind of expected when they were together for 8 years. But Jungkook's negative reaction last time made Taehyung be wary of things related to Sana. She's a sweet girl but Taehyung's priority was only Jungkook.

If only the other knew about the girl's true feelings. Taehyung is the one who seems to  have a competition here, not the other way around.

He was at Jungkook's apartment, waiting for the younger to come home. He dropped a message to Jungkook, informing the same and got a simple 'ok' as a reply. 

Taehyung had just about finished making Jungkook's favourite food for dinner when the front door opened. 

"Hey!" Taehyung looked over his shoulder and gave a smile to the other. "Why are you late?"

"Yoongi hyung wanted to talk about tomorrow's scene." Jungkook answered as he leaned against the fridge. 

"Oh.. so, all good?" 

"Yeah."

"Go wash up quickly. Dinner is almost ready."

Jungkook hummed in agreement but in the next second, Taehyung felt the other's hands around his waist. "So, coffee with Sana huh?"

Taehyung kept the spatula on the handle and switched off the stove before turning around in Jungkook's arms. "Kookie, It's not like that."

"I know." Jungkook gave a small smile. "How did you two end up there?"

"Jimin was hungry. He didn't tell me or anything but I heard his stomach grumble. So when we were passing the restaurant, I offered to have dinner with him. You were anyway not coming for dinner yesterday."

Jungkook hummed again and gestured Taehyung to go on. His hands were now on Taehyung's nape, playing with the ends of his hair strands.

"Sana was there with one of her teammates, you know Tzuyu right? Those two were having dinner too. When they saw us, they came over to our table just so that Tzuyu could say 'hi'. We were talking about the drama when Tzuyu got a call and she went away to answer that. And Jimin knocked his glass and spilled some water so he went to the washroom."

"Oh.."

"I think it was a staff member who took that photo. If I remember correctly, the angle is from where the kitchen is. Jimin contacted the restaurant and they promised to get him an update by tomorrow. They will most probably fire that person, it's a clear breach of their customer privacy policy."

Jungkook gave a soft smile and continued to play with Taehyung's hair. After a few seconds of silence, Taehyung spoke up again.

"Are you upset?"

Jungkook shook his head. "Nope. You can meet anyone you want."

Taehyung sighed in relief. "Damn! I was so worried. I didn't want you to feel bad again."

Jungkook chucked a bit at that. "I saw. You looked so angry in the morning."

"So were you!"

"Sana looked terribly upset too. I know her agency is pretty laid back when it comes to stuff like these. It's one of the few companies that don't impose a dating ban for their artist."

Taehyung didn't say anything to that and just shrugged his shoulders. It's not like Taehyung wanted to say the real reason for Sana being upset is because the scandal was with the wrong guy.

Taehyung knew that he was kinda being petty but he was glad for the less than warm attitude Jungkook has towards the girl. It's a blessing that he has completely misunderstood her intentions.

They both leaned in together and by the end of that heated kiss, the issue about the scandal was put behind them
