"Mom you don't get it! I'm not a girl!" I yelled.
"You can't change your gender!" My mom yelled back. "Now shut up and go to school"
"Fuck you!"
I ran out of the house crying and went to school.
I put my hood up and sat down under a willow tree in the back of the school.

"Why can't people accept me the way I am?"
I picked up a rock and threw it a the fence. "I hate this place"
I picked up another rock and threw it. "Stupid kids" and another. "Stupid adults" and another. "Stupid school" and another. "Stupid town"
"Throwing rocks at the fence won't help" a voice came from behind the tree. "Tell me, what's wrong with you?"
"I'm trans and everyone hates me"
"So there's nothing wrong with you"
"Who are you anyways?" I asked.
A boy with long raven black hair stepped into my view. "I'm Gerard"
He has a lot of classes with me but we've never talked to each other before.
He sat down next to me and smiled. "You?"
"Y/N, or at least I want to be"
"You already are"
I took my hood off, reveling my long hair.
"Unlike you, if I have long hair people won't see me as a guy"
"Then let me cut it off" he pulled out a pair of scissors.
"Fine"
He started cutting my hair carefully.

I felt him sink his fingers into my hair and then brush it out.
I melted in his touch and my heart started beating faster.
"All done" he said.
He took a picture and showed it to me.
"I love it!" I sighed. I jumped onto him and hugged him tightly.
And I also love you but you don't need to know that.
"Let's go, we have class" he took my hand.
I blushed lightly.
He smiled at me and my heart melted like ice on a hot summer day.
So adorable.
He's an angel.

We went to class and sat down next to each other.
"Gerard and- who is that?" Our teacher interrupted her own sentence.
"This is Y/N, he's new" Gerard said. "I was showing him around the school"
"Alright, welcome Y/N, I'm sure Gerard can help you with your studies since you joined our school in the middle of the year"
I nodded.
Omg she think doesn't recognize me!
Yes yes yes!
Argh I love Gerard.
"Thank you" I whispered to him.
"Anything for you, pretty boy" he smiled.
I looked away, turning red like a stop light.

After class we went to sit outside under the willow tree.
"Hey (deadname)!" A guy from the soccer came over to us.
"Who are you talking to?" Gerard asked. "she's not here"
"Then who's this?" He pointed at me.
"I'm Y/N"
"Oh c'mon, stop that shit and go on a date with me"
Gerard got up and looked him in the eye. "Y/N is a guy. (Deadname) is dead"
"Oh Yeah, she's gone, sorry"
The guy walked back to his friends.

"How did you do that?" I asked as Gerard sat back down.
"Oh, I'm a vampire" he shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.
"Really?" I asked. "Show me"
He smiled, his fangs reflecting the light.
I grabbed his chin gently. "Woah, that's cool. Mind if I take a closer look"
"Nah, go for it"
I felt the other fang with my index finger "sharp"
"I know"
I let go of his face.

He edged a little closer to me and caressed my cheek. "My pretty boy"
My heartbeat got faster and I blushed, looking into his eyes.
"I can hear your heartbeat" he whispered. "I like you too"
He kissed me, carefully pulling me closer.
I threw my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.
