"I don't need to be put in a mental hospital!" I yelled. "I'M FINE!!"
"You're crazy!"
"I'M NOT CRAZY!!"
"You say you hear voices and see things! You hurt yourself, You-"
"I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU!"
"You lash out to others!"
"I AM NOT CRAZY!! I DON'T NEED HELP!!"
"They'll be taking you away any time now"

I was in fact taken away to the mental hospital and then put to sleep with some drugs.
When I woke up I was in a small white room.
The window was blocked with bars and nothing had sharp edges.
I sat up and I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I was trapped.
"NO!! NO!! NO!! NO!! NO!! NO!!" I screamed.
"PLEASE!! DON'T DO THIS!!"
"Calm down" someone said, placing a hand on my back. "You're safe"
"I wanna go home" my voice started to break.
"I understand how you feel but this is for your own good"
I started crying and looked up at the person.

It was a pretty nurse, soft but masculine facial features, brown hair reaching their shoulders and a white nurse's dress.
I have seen them before. I was in this same mental hospital a couple years ago.
I've seen this nurse, I've talked to him, I like him and he seemed to like me.
He didn't seem to recognize me at first but then his expression changed.

"Please let me go home" I sobbed. "I can't stay here"
"Hey I'll take care of you" he said.
"Gerard I wanna leave"
"I know darling"
"I don't need help"
"Oh dear, you do need help. Follow the rules and you'll be out in no time"
He adjusted his uniform and sighed. "I can help you get around here, I can stop them from giving you punishments" their voice was lower.
"Why would you help me?" I whispered.
"You're nice and seem really sane to be in this wing, this wing is for- never mind, just don't talk to any of the other patients"
"Will you be with me until I get out?"
"Yes, I'll take care of you" he caressed my cheek softly, wiping away a couple tears. "I promise"
"Thank you"

I laid back down and Gerard placed their hand to my chest.
He kissed my forehead carefully. "I'll see you in the morning"
"Please don't leave me" I whispered. "Please"
He sighed. "Why?"
"I'm scared"
Gerard stood up and I grabbed his hand.
"Calm down" he whispered. "Sit up"
I sat up and he slid next to me.
"I'm really not supposed to do this" he made me rest my head on his lap. "But it's not forbidden in the rules so"
I turned around and pressed my face against his stomach.
He twitched and placed a hand on my head.
I smiled and gave him a little kiss through his uniform.
"I like you, you're nice"
He hummed softly and looked away.
I soon fell asleep as he pet my head calmly.

"Y/N it's time for breakfast" Gerard said, stroking my hair.
"No" I groaned. "I don't wanna get up"
"I'll get you some chocolate"
I sat up but stopped midway when I realized that my lips were only about 2 inches away from Gerard's.
I blushed and pushed his head away so I could fully sit up.
"I want my chocolate" I frowned as he laughed at me.
"I'll get that for you but it's gonna be outside hour 1 in 5 minutes"
"Then hurry!"
"I'll be back in a moment"

Gerard soon came back with a chocolate bar and a cup of water.
"There you go" he smiled.
I grabbed the chocolate bar and ate it in the blink of an eye.
"Thank you" I mumbled quietly.
"What?"
"Thank you"
He chuckled and handed me the cup. "Drink up and then we'll go outside"

The yard was surrounded with tall walls and barbed wire.
It wasn't that bad though, there were flowers, trees and a small pond.
"It's pretty isn't it?" Gerard asked, their hair flowing in the light wind.
"Yeah" I sighed, gazing at him.
He was so beautiful, his hazel eyes shimmering in the sunlight, his little upturned nose and the way his lips curved when he smiled.
I grabbed his hand and he took me to the pond.
