I was going downstairs to get to my car and decided to take the elevator.
I lived on the top floor and the elevator was slow but I didn't wanna walk the stairs.
It stopped on the way down and a sweet looking curly haired guy stepped in.
"Hi" I said. "I'm Y/N"
"Ray, I'm new in the building" he said.
He gave me a quick smile before taking out his phone and texting someone.

Soon the elevator stopped but the doors didn't open.
I waited for a while.
We shouldn't be on the ground level yet.
Then the lights flickered off.
"Uhm, what's going on?" I asked.
"I don't know" Ray answered.
"I think it's just a little stuck"
I tried to press the emergency call button but it didn't work. "Oh no"
I pressed it again and again. "Please work, I need you to work right now" But it just didn't work.
I slid onto the floor and hugged my knees.
"No no no no no no no fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck"
I didn't want to be stuck in an elevator in the dark.
It was such a small place with no daylight.
I was starting to panic.

I was shaking and crying quietly.
I couldn't breathe properly.
"Y/N?" Ray asked. "Are you okay?"
"Y- yeah I'm fine" I said, obviously lying.
He sat down next to me.
I could feel his arm brush against mine and jerked away.
"Is it okay if I touch you?"
"I guess"
He stroked my hair carefully. "We're gonna be okay"
"Ray I can't breathe"
His hand stopped and he moved away before pulling me to rest my head on his chest.
"Try to calm down, okay?"
He continued stroking my hair. "Take deep breaths"
I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths.

Ray placed his hand on top of mine, he radiated warmth and happiness.
"You're very..." I whispered. "Soft"
"Thank you?" He chuckled.
His smile was so pure and it made me feel better.
I sat up and hugged him.
He was surprised but hugged me back.

He played with my hair as I was hugging him.
The lights were still off and I hated that but it was okey with Ray being there.
"Are you okay now?" He asked.
"Somehow yeah"
"Good"
He had such a calming energy to him.
I matched my breathing with his and it calmed me down.

Ray stood up and I followed.
He pulled me into a hug and pat my back.
"Thank you" I said.
"No problem dude"
