"You're going to what?!" Rory exclaimed, staring the Doctor down with much confusion. Rory had lost his fiance...he'd lost his friend...he couldn't lose the Doctor. Now, now, Rory wasn't the Doctor's biggest fan, but the boy didn't exactly want the Doctor to do anything that left Rory on his own as such.
"I'm going to go down below the surface, to find the rest of the tribe." The Doctor explained quietly, as though people were listening to their conversation. People from below. "To talk to them."
Everyone in the church: Ambrose, Nasreen, Tony and Rory, stared at the Doctor like he was a madman.
"You're going to negotiate with these aliens?" The Doctor's anger spiked as he listened to the disgusted tone in Ambrose's voice.
"They're not aliens!" He yelled, before breathing in deeply to try and calm himself. Right now, he wished he could have Vanadey standing beside him, running her fingers through his hair gently. It usually calmed him. But she wasn't there. "They're Earth...liens! Once known as the Silurian race, or, some would argue, Eocenes, or Homo reptilia." The rest looked at the Doctor, a little speechless. "Not monsters, not evil. Well, only as evil as you are." He finished, standing up and instead, pointing at Nasreen. "The previous owners of the planet, that's all." He then turned and faced them, after receiving no words of interest about the Silurian race. "Look, from their point of view, you're the invaders." The Doctor turned to face Nasreen. "You drill was threatening their settlement. Now, the creature in the crypt. Her name's Alaya. She's one of their warriors and she's my best bargaining chip. If she lives, so do Elliot and Mo and Ada and Amy." As the Doctor listed the names of those taken, he walked towards Ambrose, a glare on his face before he turned to the others. "Because i will find them."
Nasreen and Rory nodded, accepting the fact that Alaya was very much needed alive. However, Tony and Ambrose didn't nod.
"While i'm gone," the Doctor began, walking back towards Nasreen. "You four people, in this church, in this corner of planet Earth...you have to be the best of humanity."
"And what if they come back?!" Tony asked a little angrily. He's probably pissed that Alaya pinched him with her tongue. "Shouldn't we be examining this creature, dissecting it, finding its weak points?" The Doctor looked horrified.
"No dissecting!" He bellowed, strongly disagreeing with Tony. "No examining! We return their hostage, they return ours. Nobody gets harmed. We can land this, together!" He said loudly, encouraging them as best as he could. "If you are the best you can be." All Tony did, in response to the Doctor, was sigh and rest his arms against his thighs. "You are decent, brilliant people. Nobody dies today." The Doctor then looked up at Ambrose. "Understand?" She nodded slowly, whilst Nasreen looked like a proud mother.
Then, she began clapping viciously, showing the Doctor he had her support. But, when nobody clapped with her, she slowly stopped and pretended to look at her fingernails.

Walking up to the TARDIS, the Doctor had to hope he could get down below. However, just as he was about to get there, he looked over his shoulder - where a little pattern of heels clicking against the tarmac resounded.
"No, sorry, no, what're you doing?" He asked loudly, jogging to get to the TARDIS doors and stopping Nasreen from getting inside.
"Coming with you, of course!" She said, as though it were obvious. "What is it, some kind of transport pod?" Those words never felt more insulting to the Doctor. He had never had someone describe the TARDIS as a 'transport pod'.
