Whilst the Doctor, Amy and Vincent all rushed back into Vincent's home to discuss what the beast that attacked them was, Vanadey stayed put. She stayed in her place, stood in the garden, whilst she waited for the other three to leave. Once they did, Vanadey crossed her arms over her stomach and began walking away. She had to take a moment, just by herself to wrap her head fully around everything.
Whilst she knew and could cope with all the things that were normally thrown at her, Vanadey couldn't find it in herself to by-pass the guilt that was becoming too much too soon. The guilt from not realising why Rory was shoving her away from Restac's view and the guilt of not landing the TARDIS smoothly which then meant Amy's concentration had broken and Rory was...forgotten.
As her shoes scuffed against the stones that made up the pathways, Vanadey seemed to become in a world of her own. Filled with memories of her time with Rory.

"Rory!" Vanadey cried with glee as she hugged an eleven year old Rory Williams. The two were fast friends after Amy introduced them. They were in fact best of friends, and not even Amy could split them up.
"Dea!" Rory greeted just as enthustiastically. He hugged the girl back just as tightly with a beaming smile on his face. Rory had never been the one to have loads of friends, and he was thankful the two Pond sister's had become his friends. "What are you doing here?"
"I've been released." Nine year old Vanadey said with a warm smile, thankful that her time in the ward was over. She had missed Amy and Aunt Sharon and Rory.
"Really?" Rory asked, and Vanadey nodded.
"Why else would i be out and about, silly." Vanadey's soft giggle's seemed to fill the silence that was surrounding the two children. It was strange, really, that there weren't any birds singing their favourite songs or any crickets decided to make that noise they make and there weren't any cars passing them by. It was silent.
"I bet Amy will be glad to see you." Rory said as he and the redheaded girl began walking back to Vanadey's home. Rory missed the sullen look that the girl made at the mention of her sister, but as she realised Rory was looking at her, Vanadey pulled out a cheery and slightly toothless smile. She had lost her two front teeth whilst in the ward. They were a few of her last baby teeth to go. For some reason, the front ones didn't fall out as soon as they were expecting them too.
"I don't think so." Vanadey said sadly, instead, and Rory frowned.
"Of course she will! How could she not?" Rory asked and Vanadey knew she had to be careful with her words. She didn't know how close Rory and Amy were and she didn't know whether or not Amy had told Rory of what she had done. "You're her baby sister, Dea. She's gonna want to see you."

Gasping, Vanadey tilted her head to the sky, trying to stop the tears from falling down her face. She remembered how loving Rory was to her. She remembered how he was kind enough to treat her like family and she hated herself for how Amy's forgotten him. Kicking a stone, Vanadey couldn't help but scream out and fall to her knees.
She gasped in pain as her chest tightened and she held a hand to the floor, letting the tears fall.
"Rory!" She sobbed, curling her fingers to make a fist and she began hitting the floor as she whimbered his name out and sobbed. The coldness of the stones and the night air seemed to do nothing to cool down the burning fire that was the guilt and anger towards herself.
