WHEN THE MOON IS FULL,
———
Friday.

And I had a scheduled trip to the hospital wing for a check up. Something Madam Pomfrey arranged a few weeks back to make sure I was getting on with my medication...which I wasn't.

The nightmares were still reoccurring, though I did have to admit I did feel more rested...or just had more energy? That honestly felt a little misplaced at times, I wasn't entirely sure how I felt lately, I just knew I wanted to snap out of it.

I still wasn't sleeping properly, and other than that one incident of over sleeping into early afternoon, I had been waking up with some kind of energy despite the poor sleep. Which surely was positive?

"Hello, Poppet." Madam Pomfrey exclaimed upon my arrival.
"Come take a seat."

I did as I was told and comfortably let my legs dangle off the side of one of the beds.

"How's the medicine been treating you?" She cut straight to the chase.

"It's been good!" I lied.
"Well- I mean," I quickly adjusted.

Madam Pomfrey raised a singular eyebrow.

"I'm sleeping," I began to say.

"But too much? That'll be normal around the full moon, dear." She said as if it were nothing as she began scribbling down in her patient file book.

"Full moon?" I said, this time me being the one to raise a singular eyebrow.

Her eyes shifted up and back down again, clearing her throat with a cough and quickly returning to her notebook.

"Well, the moon affects us all poppet." She simply replied.

"Not sure it has before." I pushed with a shrug.

"The moon does funny things to those in sensitive places. Mind, body or soul." The Nurse said profoundly, almost rehearsed.

"I'm still having nightmares." I just decided to blurt out.
"Though they're not as detailed. The medicine means I am actually blacking out whilst sleeping, most of the time. Though I feel fatigued and I suppose, a little half asleep even whilst awake."

"Can you explain, dear?"

"I feel like I'm shaking with energy whenever I'm tired. Deflated when I'm not. There's no balance, I guess. Not as sharp as I feel I can be...easily distracted." I explained.

"Has this been a constant, or just recently?" The woman asked.

"Rece- constantly. Yeah." I surprised myself with the acknowledgment that I had been coping with this feeling of bodily highs and lows, constantly since waking up.
