White

Suddenly

Morning came, Irene woke up early. She went down to their kitchen to cook breakfast for her husband and maybe, for her daughter also. 

While cooking, her phone rang. Tinignan niya kung sino ang tumatawag at nakita niya si Stephany kaya agad niya itong sinagot. 

["Hello, tita? Are you busy po?"]

["Hi, good morning! No, not really" ]

["I would like to invite you po here for lunch? If it is okay with you" ]

["Yeah, okay okay. Why didn't you go here yesterday? Sabi mo pupuntahan mo ako"]

["Nagkaroon ng emergency sa office tita e. Sorry. Are u okay?"]

["Ah ganon ba? Okay lang ako. Osya mamaya nalang, see you later I'm cooking pa"]

["Okay tita, see you later. Take care"]

Pagkatapos niyang magluto, pinuntahan niya agad ang asawa niya sa kanilang kwarto para gisingin. 

"Hon, wake up na. Let's eat" she said, Greggy didn't bother to talk, instead, he stood up and he went directly to their bathroom and did his morning routine. 

Irene just sighed and she went downstairs, to their dining area. 

"Nak, let's eat" Greggy said as he knocked at the door. "Okay da, sunod po ako" she half shouted. 

After a few minutes, they both went down to their dining area and surprisingly, they saw Irene waiting for them. 

"Bakit hindi ka pa nagsimula?" Greggy asked before he sat down. 

"Hindi ba obvious? Hinihintay KITA" she answered, emphasizing the word kita. 

White scoffed and sat down. 

"Who cooks this, DADDY?" White asked "I don't know. Maybe our yaya" he answered. "No, I cooked it, hon," Irene said. White suddenly stood up and drank her water. 

"Excuse me, I'm done. I'd rather not eat." She excused herself and went back to her room. Irene rolled her eyes and she also stood up and went upstairs to get herself ready. 

"Da, are you busy?" White asked Greggy, he's inside their room while Irene is in front of her vanity. "Today? Yeah, I will be busy later, sunod sunod ang meetings" he answered "why?" He added. "Ah nothing, I'll call tita Imee na lang"  she said before she turned around and go back to her own room. 

White POV 

Daddy's busy again, I need him in our school. There's an emergency meeting in school and parents are needed there but he's busy kaya tatawagan ko nalang si tita Imee or tita Liza, kahit na sino wag lang ang mommy.

Calling: Tita Imee

"Hello tita" pagsisimula ko. "Hello" bati niya pabalik. "Tita I just want to ask you po if you're busy today?" I asked "Ay sorry White, busy kami sa senate e. I also have a lot of papers na kailangan pirmahan, why?" Sunod sunod na sabi niya sa'kin. Medjo na disappoint ako kasi busy din siya pero okay lang, naiintindihan ko naman siya. "Nothing tita, natanong ko lang po. Thank you!" I said and I immediately ended the call. 

I decided to call tita Liza nalang. I know she's busy because campaign season pero malay natin diba. I called her multiple times but she didn't answer, as expected. I don't have a choice, I need to ask mommy if she's available later pero hindi na ako aasa. 

I went back to their room and I saw her, dressed. Parang aalis siya kaya hindi na sana ako tutuloy kaso she called me. 

"White" she said without any emotion. "Yes po?" I answered back. "What do you want ba? Kanina ka pa pabalik balik dito sa room, nakakairita." She uttered. I felt something in my heart when she said the nakakairita. 

I sighed and I looked at her "Are you busy po?" I asked and she smirked "yes I am" walang pagdadalawang isip na sabi niya. I smiled and went back to my room. Sabi ko na e. 

Habang nag iisip isip ako kung sino pa ang pwedeng tawagan para papuntahin sa school, biglang may kumatok sa pintuan ko. I opened the door and surprisingly, it's mommy. 

"May kailangan ka po?" I asked. "Bakit mo pala natanong kanina kung busy kami ng daddy mo?" She asked, mukhang concern tsk kahit hindi naman. 

"There's an emergency meeting later po kasi sa campus. Parents needed daw po, daddy's busy same with tita Imee kaya I asked you po and you're also busy." I said and she nodded her head. Anong nakain neto? 

"Okay, sorry I have something to do e. Tell your yaya nalang." She said and she went downstairs. I just signed and I went back to my bed. Again, thinking about mommy. 

"Hays, bakit ang hirap hirap mong iwasan. Nakakainis" sabi ko sa sarili ko dahil naisip ko na hindi ko siya kayang hindi kausapin. 

I went down and I talked to manang Perla about the meeting, she agreed naman. Manang Perla is one of our loyal maids. She's here since then, kahit nung bata palang ako kaya naging close na din kami sa isa't isa. 

We get ourselves ready. Nauna na ako sa school dahil may klase pa ako, mamaya pa naman hapon ang meeting. 

Irene POV 

Papunta na ako sa mall, bibili lang ako ng gift for Stephany. Wala naman okasyon pero dahil may lunch sa kanila, I just want to give her something. Thank you gift ko na din sa kanya. 

Ilang minuto lang ang nakalipas ng makarating ako sa mall. I went to the nearest Gucci store and that's the favorite store of Stephany and White. 

I'm just looking around when I saw a cute bag. Bagay na bagay to kay White, without any hesitation I bought it for her. 

After a couple of minutes, I started to drive my car papunta sa bahay ni Stephany. Nakarating naman ako ng ligtas. 

Pinindot ko lang ang doorbell at agad naman lumabas si Stephany para pag buksan ako ng gate. 

"Bakit po ang aga mo? 10:00 am palang ah" she said while hugging me. We parted our bodies "Wala na din naman akong ibang ginagawa sa bahay e, besides gusto ko din naman makasama ka" sabi ko and she smiled. Pumasok na kami sa loob at naiwan ako sa sala dahil nag aayos siya sa dining area. 

After a few minutes, she came back and naalala ko yung binili kong bag. Binigay ko na ito sa kanya. 

"Steph, gift ko oh" I handed her the paper bag and her eyes went wide, I chuckled. I really love her reaction whenever binibigyan ko siya ng gift. 

"What's this for?" Tanong niya habang tinitignan ang nasa loob ng paper bag. "Nothing, thank you gift, I guess?" I chuckled as she hugged me tight. I hugged her back. 

"Tita, may ipapakilala lang naman po ako sa inyo kaya ako nag aya mag lunch" Sabi niya, kinabahan naman ako dahil hindi ko alam kung sino. 

"Sino naman? Boyfriend mo?" I asked, jokingly, but she nodded. "OMG! Are you kidding me?" I asked, eyes widened. She then hugged me and her tears started to fall down. Shems, did I do or say something wrong?

"I'm sorry tita, hindi ko na po nasabi sayo" She said, I caressed her back and I whispered "It's okay, I'm happy for you" I said and she tightened the hug. 

After a minute, humiwalay na siya at unti unting pinunasan ang mga luha niya. "Thank you po" she said and I smiled at her.  

Nagulat ako, gulat na gulat dahil wala naman siyang nasasabi sa akin. Medjo nakakatampo pero naiintindihan ko naman siya and kung masaya siya, dapat naman akong maging masaya hindi ba?
