Overthinking

Several days had passed, and the mother and the daughter are good. They shared their time with each other, more bond together and hoping that they'll be happy forever, but life isn't perfect at all. There's always a problem that will test you if you will fight or give up.

A family that surpassed a lot of trials in their life, a lot of problems that once broke their hearts. Unbeknownst to them, a very big problem is approaching to test their love, trust and faith.

"Love!" Irene exclaimed as she hugged Greggy, "Why are you here?" Greggy asked coldly. "Susunduin ka namin, nasa van na ang anak mo" Irene said "Really?" He asked and Irene nodded her head.

"Daddy, you're finally here!" White said in excitement as she saw her dad approaching her "I miss you, nak" Greggy uttered and hugged her. White hugged him back. "I miss you too, da" she said. Irene is just smiling at them "ma, come!" White said at lumapit naman si Irene sakanila.

"So you two are now okay?" He asked them both "Yeah, after mo umalis naging okay kami" Irene answered and White is nodding her head, agreeing on what her mother said. "Okay, good" Greggy said shortly.

Irene POV

I'm a little bit confused because of Greggy's actions. I don't have any update from him simula nung umalis siya. He stayed there for almost a month and now he's back na hindi ko na makilala kung sino siya.

He's acting like he doesn't want to see us, to be with him. He's as cold as ice, nakakainis.

"Mommy where do you want to eat for lunch?" White asked me "You choose anak" I said softly. My eyes are focused on the road, nag iisip kung ano ba ang problema. He's acting weird talaga. Pagkakatanda ko, nagalit siya sa akin dahil sa mga ginagawa ko noon kay White but we're doing fine now. What's your problem, love?

We arrived at our favorite restaurant here in BGC. "Do you have reservation, sir?" Tanong ng staff kay Greggy, he shook his head "Table for three po? Please follow me" He said and we followed him.

Nakaupo na din kami at naka order, hinihintay lang namin dumating. Kinakausap ako ni White habang si Greggy napaka tahimik "Da, you good?" Tanong sakanya ni White, napapansin din siguro niya ang pagiging tahimik ng daddy niya.

"Yeah, yeah I'm good, don't mind me" He said as he caress our daughter's hand. "You're sure ha" White said and Greggy nodded his head.

Not so long after, our orders had been served. Inumpisahan na namin ang pagkain para maka uwi agad dahil alam kong pagod na si Greggy pati na din si White.

"May gusto pa ba kayong gawin bago tayo umuwi? Pagbasag ko sa katahimikan. "None" Greggy said and White shook her head "may kailangan pa po akong tapusin. Malapit na po ang election sa school" she said, naalala ko na she's running for the position of president.

"Okay, nak we'll go home as soon as we finish our food" I said and she smiled at me. Pinagpatuloy lang namin ang pagkain namin hanggang sa matapos.

Pumasok na kami sa kotse at nag pahatid sa bahay. Pagdating namin ay agad umakyat si Greggy at si White naman ay pumuntang kusina para uminom ng tubig.

"Ma" pagtawag niya sa akin kaya agad ko siyang nilapitan "yes?" Tanong ko sakanya "Napapansin mo po ba si Daddy? He's acting weird, to be honest" she said kaya tumango ako "Yeah, he's not like that naman dati" sabi ko.
