Taehyun's big brown eyes wandered around the wide room, analyzing every corner between the café's four walls, making sure everyone believed that his attention was constantly being focused on something different. But that clearly wasn't the case. Taehyun used his quick blinks to glance at the nearest table, his eyes immediately spotting a specific tall figure and taking time to observe his long bangs that fell gently on top of his eyes and his stern expression that matched his face so well. The clumsy way he was sitting, unbothered by everything, only caring about the book in his hands. The way his mouth was closed into a thin line while his eyebrows slightly moved every time something exciting happened in the book he was reading. The way he simply existed.

"What the hell is going on?" Oops, it seems like Taehyun's eyes went back to Beomgyu's figure a lot more times than they should.

"What?" He pretends to be distracted, ignoring Ryujin's suspicious eyes on top of him.

"Why do you have that look on your face?"

Taehyun looks away from the table to observe Ryujin's confused expression. Almost automatically, he let out a heavy sigh, memories of the past few days running through his head at the speed of lightning. After he pretended to be drunk so he could discover the truth about his not-so-holly dreams, Taehyun took a bunch of his time reflecting on his life's choices. Ideas like machiavellian plans to trick the older into the sweetest revenge crossed his mind: what if he faked being drunk a few more times and made Beomgyu fall heads over him just to, days later, break his heart into million pieces as payback for all the hurtful thing he's ever done to him? But that idea had no other fate than to die in vain as Taehyun felt his heart ache at the sight of Beomgyu's teary puppy eyes and sad curved eyebrows. Do I really have a soft spot for him now?

That annoyed him more than anything: how Beomgyu had a different effect on him since those weird dreams began months ago. Instead of being incredibly annoying, he became tolerable in Taehyun's eyes. And now after the real kiss, the blonde noticed some other changes: his heart would skip beats at the sight of him and his hands would sweat like crazy when they were alone in the same room. A possible solution to deal with this matter was to just tell Beomgyu the truth: that he was sober last Friday night. But that thought was reproduced way too many times inside his mind to convince Taehyun that it was hopeless, negative feedback haunting him: Beomgyu would probably scream at him and then move dorms and avoid Taehyun's existence for the rest of his life. If that possibility crossed his mind a few weeks ago, he would be the happiest man alive. But hearing those words playing constantly inside his head right now only made him feel restless and scared that they'll eventually come true.

The only option that didn't make Taehyun's heart feel heavy was to live his life normally until he figured out what to do. Was it a dumb idea? Probably. Was it better than the other ones? Definitely.

"Taehyun?" Ryujin asks again, her hand waving in front of his face.

"I just hate him..." The blonde mumbles, his eyes finally leaving Beomgyu's figure, and Ryujin sighs in relief.

"I thought you saw a ghost or something. Next time I catch you planning murder on your mind I won't bother you. Now stop looking, they might see you..."

They, Taehyun sighs as his eyes fall on the silver-haired boy that was sitting next to Beomgyu, his curious foxy eyes peeking not so discreetly at the ravenette's book, asking him about the meaning of a word that was written on the end of the page. Everything about him annoyed Taehyun: the way he suddenly appeared in everyone's lives, befriending the most socially awkward person in the world and his housemates, the way he instantly won Soobin's heart, making the taller brag about him as much as he could, as if Mingi was some kind of angel that has fallen out of heaven, and the way he would often send nasty glances in the blonde's direction as if he's trying to impose something. Taehyun knew for sure he wasn't that nice person everyone thought he was, that scary look and terrible handshake he gave him the first time they met spoke for themselves... Taehyun clenches his jaw when he sees both boys getting up their chairs and walking toward the counter.
