Ashley Roberts POV
"Ashley?"
I opened my eyes and looked around in Jax's room.
"What time is it?" I asked and looked at Jax. He opened his phone.
"1 PM" he mumbled and I closed my eyes again. Even though I have been sleeping for hours, I felt like I could sleep for the rest of the day with no hesitation.

"You gotta get up" he said and laid down beside me. "Maybe eat something?" He mumbled and I opened my eyes.
"I'm not hungry..." I mumbled back and Jax lifted his hand to my face and gently stroke his thumb over my cheek.

The thought of last night made me tear up but I looked away. I didn't want to cry again.
What happened last night is in the past, I can't change what happened. I need to be strong, I can move on.

"Ashley it's okay to cry..." He mumbled and grabbed my chin to make me look at him.
"It's in the past Jax and I'm fine, I'll just move on" I said and tried to smile, but I knew it didn't convince him at all.

"Ashley just stop it okay?" He sighted and sat up. "Jack will fucking pay for this! He won't walk around unpublished! Okay! This is my fucking fault, I dragged you into this so stop acting like nothing fucking happened!" He said and I looked at him.

"Ashley... trust me if they even think of touching you again I'll cut their fucking hands off, I'll kill him!" Jax said and I nodded.
"I'll be okay Jax"
I didn't know if I trusted my own words but I have to.

"I need to handle my car" he said and I felt some guilt about his car even though I didn't break it.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled and Jax shook his head. "Not you're fault Ashley" he said and stood up. He grabbed my hand to help me up from the bed.

"I'll drive you home" he said and handed me his helmet, I nodded.

•••

When I opened the door to our house I saw dad on one of the kitchen chairs in the kitchen.

"Stop!" He said to me when I tried to walk up to my room.
"I'm sorry I can explain-" I begun but he just pointed at the chair I front of him.

He looked up from the news paper and stared at me, I knew this wouldn't end well.
"So how many days do you think you have missed from school?" He asked and I sighted.
"Four? Maybe three?" He asked and I nodded.
"You're grades will drop if you keep acting like this!" He said and I nodded again.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with you! I can't say to you that you're grounded because apparently you won't listen to that, I can't tell you to not be out on the night. Because I guess that you totally forgot that that kid got murdered and we're still looking for the damn killer!" Dad said with a stern cold voice.

"I know you have been hanging out with Jax Martinéz, Ashley!" He looked deeply into my eyes and I looked down.

"But I guess I can't tell you to stop hanging out with him because you won't listen to that either..." I nodded.

"Dad I'm sorry-"Cut the bullshit! We found Jax's car today, it was totally violated. Do you know anything about that?" He asked and I shook my head.

"So I'll give you two alternatives..." he said and I looked up.

"If you keep up with this behaviour... you'll move with your mother to England, and she's moving soon" dad said and my body froze.

"Or...?"

"Or you'll start to behave and show up to school tomorrow and listen to what I say!" He said and I nodded slowly.

"But dad it's not that easy..." I said.
"Ashley it is! You're supposed to listen to me and when I tell you something you're supposed to do as I say! When I tell you to avoid Jax you'll do as I say and when I tell you to go to school you'll do as I say!" He yelled and I stood up.

"I can't! I can't fucking avoid Jax!" I yelled back at him. He stared at me.
"I have feelings for him okay?!" I yelled.
Dad looked at me in chock before saying anything.

"He's not good for you Ashley! He's the one dragging you into this shit!" He said and I shook my head.

"He haven't dragged me into anything!" I said and pushed away my thoughts of last night. It wasn't his fault Ashley, It was Jack... Jack Garcia.

"You know what dad?! I think you and your friends at the police station should open up your eyes and then maybe you'll find the murderer! Have you even checked on Jack Garcia!?" I asked and tried to change the subject form Jax to Jack.

Jack is the dangerous person here not Jax.

"We have! You should maybe know that we have had our eyes opened for Jax too then!"

"Wha- What? He has nothing to do with the murder!" I said.

"We have witnesses, they saw Jax and Jack at the same place as the murder, at the same time! Just a few minutes before the incident!" Dad said and I shook my head.

"You're fucking crazy! He would never have something to do with that!" I said and turned around to walk to my room.

"If you go to you're room you'll stay there until school tomorrow!" Dad yelled but I ignored him.

They're wrong, they're wrong. Jax have nothing to do with the murder!
I know him...
