The next day, Ronnie went to Family Video as promised. Scanning through the aisles for her friends when she didn't see them right away behind the counter, finding them restocking the shelves.

"Then Vickie laughed. And it wasn't like a cheap, fake laugh either. It was like... It was a real, genuine laugh." Robin explained.

"Excuse me, do you have Fast Times in stock?" Ronnie asks, getting their attention, teasing Robin.

Steve laughs as Robin rolls her eyes.

"Of course she laughed. It was my Muppet joke. It was hilarious." Steve circled back to their conversation.

"My point is that Vickie laughed and everything was just like... It was perfect." Robin carried on, following Steve into the other aisles.

"But?" Ronnie jumped in, knowing Robin was going somewhere with this conversation, since she was so flustered.

"But I'm having this problem where it's like, I should stop talking. I have said everything I need to say. But then I get nervous and the words just keep spilling out." Robin adds, continuing to ramble until she was out of breath.

"I'm doing it right now, aren't I?" Robin asks her friends, whipping around to face them.

Ronnie and Steve stand beside each other, nodding.

"Yeah, you are." Steve answers, leaning against a shelf that Ronnie was against, putting his arm right above her, inches away, making Ronnie walk away to the other side of the store, scanning through the movies.

Robin sighs, stepping backwards until her back hits the wall against a movie poster.

"I'm hopeless." She adds.

"Eh. We both are." Steve agrees, referring to Ronnie as he watches her.

Robin turns to Steve, pursing her lips. "If only we could just, like, combine."

"Combine?" Steve asks confused, crossing his arms.

"No. Think about it. I've found the girl of my dreams, I just can't find the courage to ask her out. Meanwhile, you've never stopped trying with Ronnie, but she doesn't trust you, she trusts me." Robin starts.

"Mm." Steve begins to understand.

"So if we just combined, all our problems would be solved. Because, let's face it, alone..."

"We totally suck." Steve finishes.

"Totally and utterly." Robin lets out a breath.

"I think I found our morning movie!" Ronnie says loudly from the other side of the store, turning towards them, holding up a movie.

"Doctor Zhivago." Ronnie adds.

"Ugh, you know I don't do double VHS." Steve complains, kicking off the wall making his way towards Ronnie.
