Ashton: you hummed along to the music that played quietly in your ears as you finished cleaning the cafe where you worked. You had gotten stuck with closing up, but you didn't really mind because it paid extra. The bell above the door rang out, signalling someone's arrival. You always forgot to lock the door before you started clearing up. You turned around slowly, trying to pause your music as you did so. Who wanted food this late anyway?
"I'm sorry we're..." You trailed off, finally looking up. Was that really him? You blinked a few times, trying to make sure you weren't just hallucinating due to the strong fumes of the coffee. Suddenly you wished you had remembered to lock the door.
"A-Ashton?" You whispered in disbelief. You hadn't seen him in years. He'd forgotten about you when his band took off.
"Hi, [Y/N]."

Calum: you sighed exasperatedly. You had known that your boyfriend had been cheating on you for a while now, but you didn't think he'd have the audacity to go out with her in public, especially to your favourite restaurant. You sipped your coffee and continued to watch them from the Starbucks at the opposite side of the street. Just as you were about to buy another cup, your phone began to buzz. Strangely, you didn't recognise the number that was calling you.
"Hello?" You answered warily.
"[Y/N]?"
You knew that voice immediately. How did he still have your number? It had been what, 4 years since he decided he didn't need you in his life anymore? What on earth could he want from you now?
"Calum?"
"Yeah, [Y/N], it's me. Can we meet up? Please?"

Luke: you hurried home, worried that the package you were having delivered today would arrive while you were out. The elevator to your floor couldn't seem to move any slower, it was as if someone was actually having to pull the elevator to each floor instead of letting the machinery do its job.
When you finally arrived, you almost tripped over in your haste to get out. You made it five steps towards your flat before you stopped dead. You were actually regretting leaving the slow elevator. There was a very different type of package waiting outside your door. His blonde hair was tousled and messy, but it didn't look any less perfect. You hated that. He hadn't seen you yet, so you cleared your throat. A nervous grin covered his face as his eyes met yours, but you didn't smile back. Why was he bothering with you now? It had been 4 years.

Michael: you clumsily stumbled into the comic book shop, earning a smile from the owner, Jack.
"Making your weekly visit I see?" He grinned at you. He seemed more smiley than usual.
"It wouldn't be a Thursday without a new comic." You replied, a little wary. He was never this happy to see you.
"You've got a visitor, [Y/N]." He told you, still smiling broadly. He gestured towards the Marvel section.
Your eyes widened as you saw him. He had his back to you, so you could look as shocked as you pleased. Why on earth had he come back into town? And why had he come to see you? It had been 4 years since you had last seen him, and the last time you spoke it had seemed like he never wanted to see you again. So why was he here? He turned around, catching your eye immediately. Should you run? He really didn't deserve any more of your attention. But you couldn't run away from him, you never could. Your dry throat allowed for one hoarse word. "Michael?"
