Ashton: countless words are waiting on your tongue, sitting right on the edge just waiting for you to push them out. But you can't. None of the words feel good enough, like they could convey to Ashton the years worth of love that you've hidden away from him. He's waiting expectantly, not even a shred of hope in his eyes. You hate seeing him like this.
You sigh and shake your head, giving up trying to string the perfect sentence together.
"You don't understand, Ash," you manage, keeping your eyes trained on the floor. "You don't understand. There are so many things I want to say to you. So many things I need to say to you. But I can't find the words, because I've refused to let myself even think about them when I'm around you. I want to tell you how much I love you, and I want to tell you how much I want to be with you, but I don't know how. I want you to be able to feel every last syllable, but I'm at a loss. You have no idea how long I've loved you for, and I can barely remember. So how do I manage to get across all those years worth of love in a few words?"
You can't bring yourself to look up at him, but seconds later his thumb and finger gently tilt your chin to make you meet his eyes.
"[Y/N]..." he whispers, his voice cracking with emotion. "That was perfect. Everything you said... I felt it." He grabs your hand and places it on his chest. "Here, see how fast my heart is beating. That's because of what you just said."
Ashton's lips curl into a smile, and you find yourself desperately wanting to kiss him. But you can't.
He looks confused when you stand up, but you grin at him. "Where are you going?" He asks.
"I need to kiss you, Ashton, but I can't, not until I've broken up with my boyfriend. But I'm not sure how much longer I can wait, so I'm going to find him now. I can't wait any longer to be with you, Ash."

Calum: what now? A good question. You have absolutely no idea. In your mind you know that there's only one solution, but it scares you a little bit.
"C-Cal?" You stammer. Calum takes your hand as he asks you what the matter is.
"I want to be with you. I really do, more than anything. B-but... but what if we get together and you realise it was just the idea of me that you liked? What if we're together and you don't like it? I-I can't lose you. I wouldn't survive it."
Calum's concerned expression transforms into a small smile, and, surprisingly, he looks slightly amused.
"I find it funny you could even think that might happen. [Y/N], you don't get it. What I feel for you - it's not some crush. I'm in love with you. I don't ever want to be with anyone else. It's not just the idea of you that I like, babe, it's every single part of you. You are never ever going to lose me, no matter what happens, okay? I promise."
You nod, allowing his words to wash over you and soothe your doubts about his feelings for you. Shakily, you take a deep breath. Calum is definitely worth the risk of getting hurt, so deciding to jump in at the deep end is less scary. There's only one thing left to do now, and you know it can't wait any longer.
"I need to go break up with my boyfriend before anything else can happen, Cal," you say softly, rising to your feet.
"I know," he says understandingly, "b-but when you get back... when you don't have a boyfriend anymore... can we be together?"
Even after everything you've told him he's still nervous. It's adorable. "Calum," you smile, "there's nothing in this world I want more."

Luke: how could you have told Luke that you don't know? Why couldn't you have just told him the truth? You wonder if the words are ringing around his head as much as they are yours. You're currently pacing your apartment, searching every last corner of your mind for an answer to this problem.
Although, you know that you're already aware of the one and only solution, but you're a little unwilling to admit it. If you admit it it becomes real and you have to properly face up to your feelings for Luke.
He's worth it, a little voice in your mind tells you.
Impulsively, you grab your car keys from the side and rush out of the building. You know exactly what you have to do.
---
Almost three hours later you pull up outside Luke's apartment building and slowly make your way inside. You've been thinking about everything you need to say to him, but you still have no idea how to say it.
Shakily, you take a deep breath and knock on his door. A few moments later he appears and instantly you know what to do.
You kiss him, letting your passionate embrace do the talking. Your lips fit together perfectly, and his arms instinctively wrap tightly around your body, pulling you closer. After a few moments he pulls away, his face full of shock.
"[Y/N] I..." he begins, but you interrupt him.
"No, let me talk. I'm sorry for saying that I don't know if I still have feelings for you, that was stupid. And a lie. Of course I still have feelings for you, Luke, emotions that strong don't just go away no matter how hard you try to make them."
"But what about your boyfriend?" He manages.
"I broke up with him. I want to be with you, Luke, and nobody else."
A wide smile breaks out on the blonde boys face. He looks truly happy. "Good," he whispers, pulling you back towards him, "because I don't want you to be with anyone else either."

Michael: try as you might, you can't gauge Michael's reaction. You have no idea what he's feeling right now, and it terrifies you. After way too long, he finally utters "you love me?" in a questioning, almost accusatory way. You swallow back your nerves and nod, finding yourself unable to speak.
Michael doesn't say anything for a long time. An hour passes, and you decide it's best that you go. Michael doesn't try to stop you.
---
You get in your car and drive, not really having any destination in mind. You need to clear your head. What on earth happened back there? It's almost difficult to think about.
Bringing the car to a halt, you glance at your surroundings. You hadn't meant to drive here, but here you are. Stepping out of the car is easy. Walking up to the houses front door is easy. Knocking on it is easy. Facing your grinning boyfriend is not.
His face drops when he sees your expression. "It's over, isn't it?" He asks before you can say anything. You nod and apologise, a tear slipping down your cheek. "How did you know?" You croak.
"I knew the second I asked you that it wasn't going to last long. I could tell from the way you said yes - it was like you felt forced into it. I should have just called the whole thing off there but... I dunno, I couldn't."
---
It's almost 1AM when the buzzer in your apartment goes off. You take one glance at the little screen and buzz down to open the door. It's Michael.
The second he's in the room he's apologising. "I'm sorry, [Y/N], I don't know what was wrong with me this afternoon. I just wasn't expecting you to like me too and it was overwhelming and-"
You press your lips to his, cutting him off mid sentence. It doesn't take long for him to respond, his mouth moving against yours in sync. As if realising what's happening, he pulls away.
"You have a boyfriend!" He shouts, taking a step backwards.
Giggling, you shake your head. "I broke up with him."
Michael eyes widen and he steps towards you again. "You... you did? Why?" He sounds vulnerable, and it breaks your heart.
Grinning, you take his hand. "Why do you think, you idiot? For you. I want to be with you."
