Ashton: you locked the door behind you and turned to Ashton, your eyebrows raised.
"Say what you have to say then." You said monotonously. You were showing no sympathy. He looked terrified.
"I... Ah fuck it. I'm really sorry, [Y/N]. I shouldn't have cut you out like I did, but you've gotta know why I did it, okay?"
You nodded, giving him minimal responses.
"Well I- it wasn't because I got too famous or whatever and just forgot you. God no it wasn't that. In fact I rarely think about anything but you... I'm getting off track." He rambled. He desperately searched your eyes for help, but you gave him none. He sighed.
"I guess what I'm trying to say, [Y/N], is that I love you. I always have. I'm really sorry it took me this long to tell you."Calum: three knocks sounded through your apartment, signalling Calum's arrival. You gulped nervously and opened the door. He looked just as good as always, and the clear anxiousness that radiated from him seemed to make him cuter, which you despised. How did he manage to look this good all of the time?
"Hey," he said breathlessly, "I've kinda been panicking about this. Just lemme catch my breath a bit." This really was making him nervous. At least he cared. He perched on the edge of your sofa, as if he was scared that you would yell at him if he made himself comfortable.
"What's up, Calum?" You asked him when he had calmed down a little and had regained his breath.
"My god, [Y/N], I love you. I really do. It hurts and I feel like I shouldn't but I can't help it. Fuck, I'm so sorry."Luke: he stood gawping at you, not saying a word. He looked like he was about to cry.
"Just come in. Say what you need to and then leave again, alright?" You sighed, giving in to him. You had never been able to stay mad at him for long. He smiled gratefully and followed you into your apartment.
The keys missed the table you had aimed them at, hitting the laminate flooring with a loud clanging noise. It seemed louder and harsher than it actually was due to the silence that echoed around the two of you.
"What do you have to say?"
Luke nervously played with his hands and avoided your eyes. What was so important?
"I love you, [Y/N]. And that scares the hell out of me, alright? I thought avoiding you would make the feelings go away, but it didn't. I'm sorry."Michael: his beautiful green eyes were focused on the door, clearly waiting for your arrival. You took a deep breath and stepped into the restaurant. Michael beckoned you to him, a nervous smile plastered over his face.
"Hey," he greeted you.
"Hi," you replied, attempting not to smile too much. He wasn't getting off the hook by just taking you for a meal.
"Um... So I really need to talk to you."
"Go ahead."
"Well, uh, I'm really sorry I haven't talked to you in a while."
"Four years is longer than a while, Michael."
"Uh, yeah, sorry..." He brought his fingertips to his mouth and began to chew nervously on his nails. You weren't giving him an easy time.
"I love you, [Y/N], and I've tried to make the feelings go away, but they won't, okay? I fucked up. I'm sorry."
