MELANCHOLY PIANO MELODY played as snow fell against the black umbrellas. The Hargreeves stood around a casket, a picture of Ben visible on it. The loss of Number Six left their hearts in agony as each of them struggled to hold back tears. Ever since his death, the family was left in shambles. Vanya cried silently as she stared at her deceased brother. Pogo and Reginald finally arrived at the scene.

"Your father is ready to give the eulogy, children." Pogo declared. Reginald stood in the middle and began his speech.

"The world is full of injustice. Good people die along with the bad. This cosmic equation will never change unless evil itself is wiped from existence. Thankfully, there are powerful forces pushing back against the wicked and iniquitous, individuals who have the strength to pull together against insurmountable odds to face adversity with unblinking courage, and not to hesitate to sacrifice themselves for another."

"Unfortunately, none of you are such people. Despite years of training and weeks of preparation, you allowed Number Six to die on this mission."

Allison gasped and turned to him. "It wasn't our fault!" She argued. Luther held her back, holding her arm.

"Excuses? I will not hear them." Reginald refused to listen to her. "The Umbrella Academy has failed one of their own, the consequences of which are dire. Hold on to this feeling, children. Let it fester in your hearts... so there is never a next time."

"Training will be canceled today out of respect for your brother. We will resume tomorrow at 6:00 a.m." Reginald stated as he began to walk away. Soon, Grace and Pogo followed.

The Hargreeves siblings stood there, sobbing silently as the snow fell. "It wasn't anybody's fault." Vanya attempted to ease their burden.

"How would you know, Vanya? You weren't even on the mission." Diego retorted. She gasped softly and whimpered, more tears fell down her face as she quickly left.

Luther pursed his lips in anger. "Nice going asshole." He rebuked.

"What? We were all thinking it." Diego argued.

Allison scoffed. "Oh, so you're thinking, Diego? That's a first." She quipped.

"Screw you!" Diego shouted sharply as he began to make his way back into the mansion.

"Hey!" Luther interjected and went after him, Allison trailing behind. "Dad was right. We should've done more. This didn't have to happen." Their footsteps retreated as Klaus stood alone in the snow. Taking one last glance, he stepped into a gazebo. His siblings' quarrel could be heard in the distance.
