Third Person POV:

Elena is driving and parks her car at the side of the road. Elijah is next to her drinking blood from a blood bag.

"You look better," she told him.

"Where did you get the dagger?" Elijah questioned her.

"I'll tell you everything. But we have to work together, Elijah. I need your word," she said.

"Your ability to make demands has long passed," he told her.

"No demands. I'm offering you my help. And in return, I want yours," she said.

"And why should I even consider this?" He questioned.

"The same reason that you haven't killed me. You need my help to kill Klaus. And I need you," she said as her phone buzzes.

She answers it knowing it's Stefan on the other end.

(S= Stefan, E= Elena)

S: Where are you? Are you okay?

E: Yes, I'm fine.

S: Where's Elijah?

E: He's right here.

S: Where? I'm on my way.

E: No, Stefan, Elijah and I need some time alone.

S: Listen to me. He can't be trusted he'll use you to get to Klaus.

E: Elijah is a noble man, Stefan. He lives by a code of honor. I can trust him. He knows that I'd be incredibly stupid to betray him again. By removing the dagger, I have proven myself.

S: You can't do this alone.

E: It's my decision, Stefan. Please respect it. And make sure that Damon doesn't do anything stupid. I'll be in touch.

She hangs up the phone and Elijah holds his hand out.

She gives him her phone and he puts it in his jacket pocket.

Elena and Elijah are back in the car, talking as they drive to the Lockwood Mansion.

"He's here," she told him.

"Klaus is here?" Elijah questioned.

"He's taken over Alaric's body," she informed him.

"Of course he has. One of his favorite tricks," he acknowledged.

"Well, what are his other tricks? What is he going to do next? You're the only one who knows him," she questioned him.

"Yes I do," he simply said.

They made it to the Lockwood residence and after compelling Carol Lockwood to let them in, he went to change his suit.

Over at the Salvatore house, Stefan picks up his phone to see Jenna is calling him.

(J= Jenna, S= Stefan)

S: Hello?

J: Hey, Stefan. It's Jenna.

S: Jenna, hey.

J: Where's Elena? And Theo? No one's answering their phones.

S: Ah, Elena's not here at the moment. Is, uh, is everything okay?
